many of you may know that i was brought up a witness and stayed in until the age of 42, even reaching the dizzy heights of being a congregation elder.

i was unusual in that, even as a witness i studied to degree level, on a part time basis, sponsored by my employer.

my first was in chemistry and my masters is in business administration.

I think the God that inspired the bible is a spaceman, an astronaut.

Probably a collective group of astronauts.

The astronauts would be a higher group of men to controll a lower group of men.

I suspect the astronauts genetically enginered the ape like creatures into somehting more like their, the astronauts

image.

I suspect the power of the universe, God, is not known to us and at this time unknowable to us.

today is my 65th birthday.. chances are you have no idea what that means.. would you like to know?

turning 65 can only be described using these two words:.

the first: anagnorisis the moment of critical discovery; the discovery of one's own identity or true character.

If the bible flood happened, it didnt just kill man and animals, it changed the atmosphere of the earth.

Man no longer lived 8-9 hundred years old, they lived around 100.

The canopy was gone the earth was bombarded with the suns rays and the atmospheric pressure changed.

It would seem God would wanted more life and souls to be born in a shorter time.

What was life like for you as a JW teenager?

in the wt's illistrations they portray jw teenagers as happy, together group.

my experinace is that the jw teenagers in the cong were some of the bitchyist backstabbing arse holes i'll ever meet.. it was unheard of for us to engage in group "wholesome activity" as show in the wt's illistrations.

the competition amongst the girls for the handsome, sane and elders sons were cut throat.

I was born and raised in the tower by my mother. My father was not a witnoid.

The bad part of being a JW teenager was all of the meetings and assemblies and field service.

For the most part my fun times were not associating with witnesses.

I would play and hang out with the kids from school.

The witnesses were not normal to me, they were weird.

I felt it was a curse to have the special knowledge of the truth.

Overall having been raised as a JW teenager was much better than being a middle aged ex JW.

I would love to go back to my teen years with limited responsibilities.

If I could go back to my teen years knowing what I know now I would have rebelled and rejected

authority and I would have paid attention in school and applied myself to getting a education.

As a Jw teenager, since my father was not a witness, I was on the track and wrestling and golf team in school.

Every week during the wrestling and track season my name was in the local paper for winning matches.

And I had letters and a sweater, and lots of ribbons.

Also I played guitar so I was always in a band both with worldly friends and witness friends.

I grew up in the 50's and 60's, I think the society was different back then.

We had lots of picknicks, the brothers got togehter every week and played baseball, football and basketball.

The friends went sled riding, tobaganing and skiing together.

Durnig my youth and teen years, I played as much as I could.

My teen years as a witness were more enjoyable than my 50's out of the society.

But I dont know how much that has to do with being a witness.

When your young the world is fresh and new. When your old the world is old and dull.
