Window Washers

why do i see so frequently the witnesses referred to as "window washers" on here?

i have been a witness (though only recently "conscious") for my whole life.

At my kingdumb hall back in Cleveland the richest brother in the hall was a window washer. He washed all the windows

in the city of Cleveland including the sky scrapers. He owned Cleveland Window Cleaning.

He has since left the tower and become a born again Christian.

I moved to Florida in 81. THe fellow who owned the gym I went to was a janitor. He had a very busy gym.

Hulk Hogan, Randy Savitch, Brutus the BArber, and the Bushwachers were in his gym all the time.

He told me he makes much more money as a janitor then he does running a gym. He wasnt a witness just a janitor.

You can go back to the begining of civilization to Sumer and the story of Jehovah and Satin is there in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Also the story of Noah and the Flood. All the players had Sumerian names.

These biblical stories go back to the begining of recorded history, when man just poped up and could

do complicated math and plot the stars in the sky.

If "creation science" was actually true, and therefore offered any scientific insight or chance for commercial application, why is there so little investment in this research area? Why is it that biology departments in universities all over the world devote huge amounts of time and money advancing the state of knowledge about how biological systems develop and work, whereas all creationists have is tiny apologetic "research" efforts and shiny-suited preachers on Sunday morning TV? If one thinks this is caused by some giant conspiracy, why is that no rogue country, university, or company has broken away from the pack to revolutionize the field of biology? Why, even in Middle Eastern countries with conservative religious governments and a conservative, creationist Islamic population, the public universities *still* teach and research biological evolution, not creationism?

Where are the creationist breakthroughs? Why do they spend all of their time writing popular-level books, talking in churches, and indoctrinating children instead of getting the lab coat or rock hammer out and doing real science? Why are no creationists incredulous of this situation?

I think many creationist agree with actual true science that is demonstratable about how biological systems develop and work.

As I said earlier, its a matter of semantics we are not all talking about the same thing and using the proper words.

Many creations are doctors, physicians who work on the human body, you would think they would know how

biological systems develop and work after 8 years of studying the human body.

I think things evolve they change they adapt many creationist use the word adaptation and micro evolution.

Thats science. To say al life comes from a common ancestor as Richard Dawkins does is an unprovable theory. And thats one place

many creationist have a problem with evolution, its the unprovable theory of evolution they have a problem with, not the

provable theory of evolution, and thats the semantics I am talking about.

Creationsist know that bacteria and biology mutate, change, evolve thats micro evolution.

I think the great advances mankind need have to do with the provable science of how biological systems develop and

work. And that provable science does not have to do with the unprovable science of whether the earth is 6,000 years

old or billions of years old. I dont think proving the age of the earth which always ends up being disputed is

as comercially viable as figuring out how biological systems develop and work.

According to the bible the world lies in the power of the wicked one. And that is the contest that is being carried out

now. Satin did not believe he was made by God and many people in the world do not believe they were made by God.

So God and the Devil are working their challenge out and we are all participating and observing.

Richard Dawkins when he was in his mid teens decided that evolution was a better explanation to him

than creation and he stopped beliving in God at that time and he has been putting forth his atheistic

arguments ever since, which is fine.

But thats his agenda.

Everyone has the same facts and since he was a teenager he has been twisting and spining the facts

to make his point.

Scientifically, however the earth and universe came into existence, I take into consideration that God is a spirit

and he is/ was outside of the universe when he made the universe.

Man doesnt know enough to prove there is no God.

We dont know enough about quantum physics, parallel universes and other dimensions to rule out the posibility

of God.

Man just recently became aware of the invisible dimension of radio waves in 1865.

To dismiss God living in another dimension as the bible says he is a spirit, seems to be putting on blinders to

a very posible reality.

I like Richard Dawkins I've read all his popular books, but he's a phd, a zooologist.

When he writes about there being no God and the big bang, do atheist hold his being a phd

zoologist who studied animal behavior against him? What does zooology have to do with the big bang?

He writes about it. I dont hear the atheist chiding him for his lack of credentials in the field.

Then why do atheist say disparaging things about a person who has a phd in hydrology which seems just as relevant regarding

creation and a global flood when he writes books about God, the bible and creation.

And if a phd in Hydrology writing books about God and creation is considered an apologist.

Why isnt a phd in zooology writing books about no God an apologist?

When did whats being good for the goose stop being good for the gander?

You said no there isnt. They claim to be PHD's to me that makes them a scientist they have written books.

Just because you dont agree with their interpretations doesnt make them cease to exist.

Just because you call there literature theological doesnt mean they are not scientist and there writings are not scientific.

I think you may mean something else and your side stepping what you dont know how to put into words.

But I have been very clear and concise in my statements.

Are you trying to say that I said these authors where writing in scientific journals?

You might think that. But thats not what I said.

I gave you their books and you dont agree, fine. But there not going to disappear for you.

You seem to be smart enough to know that a scientist can not write in a scientific journal about a young earth

and creationsim and keep his job and respectability.

How can you view such a system as legitimate and honest?

Its just like the legal profession and plea bargining people will say anything to save their lives and shorten their

prison time.

Scientist will say anthing to feed their families and pay their mortgage.

If they spent 6 to 8 years on their degree their not going to risk their credibility going against the party line.

Many jobs and businesses are like that.

If you want to be an atheist power to you, you have my blessing.

You said they didnt exist. They have to exist if your going to criticize them.

Go to the institute for creation research and get on their mailing list and they will send you their literature.

That's theological literature, not scientific literature.

If the people that work there are doctors and Phd's in scientific fields then I accept it as scientist wriiting scientific literature.

Obviously we both have an agenda.

Everybody has the same facts, its how you want to interpret them.

Which is fine I can accept that.

But I maintain there are scientific

writings to support a young earth and they are written by scientist who

believe in God and the bible and your saying no there is not does not make them disappear.

So you are trying to miss lead people who dont know any better to put forward your agenda.

I know there are books written by scientist that explain the fossil record from a young earth flood perspective. THere are many scientific writings to support a young biblical earth. - jagaurbass
