Occam's Razor is never wrong.
Occam's razor is a guide, not an iron bound law. Even in hard physical sciences, this is the case, and specific applications of the principle have not withstood scrutiny.

ok.... looking for some logical explainations.... my daughter, ali, who i've been posting about on the forum...who has developed congestive heart failure.... has had some spooky experiences lately in her house.
here are a few of the things that happened:.
about a month ago, ali and her son david, heard noises from the attic above ali's bedroom...that sounded like something was being dragged across the attic floor.

i really love a good western.
the remake of true grit by the coen brothers (fargo, o' brother where art thou?, etc.
) was a pleasant surprise.
You ever read the Bible Dan?
I read it one time
I was eight years old
My daddy just got his self killed over a shot of whisky
and my mama said:
"we're going back to start over East"
So, she gave me a Bible
Sat me down in the train station
told me to read it.
She gonna get our tickets.
Well, I did what she said
I read that Bible from cover to cover
It took me three days
...
She never came back...

I loved 3:10 to Yuma, continuity warts and all. Fantastic movie. Great ending.

If someone wanted to get Ali to move out, they would have to know a lot about her in order to target that specific dress.
Is there anything special about that dress? Or is it just another dress?

theres a new film in production called ' losingmyreligion'.
its being produced by stephan mcguire who is a proper film producer who happens to have been brought up as a jehovahs witness.
think leonardo dicaprio got something to do with making it too :).
This is fantastic.

I agree BTS...but what to do about it? I'm 1500 miles away, and she is freaked...and doesn't need that kind of thing along with the heart trouble she has...
Coffee_Black. We've had shadows, voices, and footsteps. Arguments were common for a time. The house had a dark depressive feel. It is hard to describe.
Prayer and telling them to leave may work. You have to order them out in the name of Jesus.
If you think it might be the spirit of a deceased, tell them it is OK to leave, to go home to heaven above.
My wife has gone around the house reciting psalms and burning sage. I've done rosary prayers and novenas for several nights. Holy water. We may have identified the physical source of the problem, and gotten rid of it (JW family property given us secondhand). Hateful people.
It's been a few weeks of quiet. So far, the house has a very different feel now. There are no more disturbances. The house is no longer dark and oppressive feeling. Quite cheery, actually.

It seems like you have some issues at that house. We've been having some trouble with ours as well.

jeremiah 46:28 do not fear, [...] my servant, for i am with you," declares the lord.
"though i completely destroy all the nations among which i scatter you, i will not completely destroy you.
i will discipline you but only with justice; i will not let you go entirely unpunished.".
right now, i am hearing foals' "total life forever".
also been playing these albums a lot lately:.
groove armada's "black light".
If I interpret "misanthrope for a dad" as the bOrg, I really feel this song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0kTnWjGeZU
He had a misanthrope for a dad
Who crushed any hope he might have had
When he was just a boy
Clothed in a cloak of bitterness
He wandered through the wilderness in search of something to destroy
Like Icarus, he flew too close to the sun
To the sun
I can understand why someone can go over to the dark side
'cause the devil, he's got all the tunes
And someone once said if you're not living on the edge,
then you are taking up too much room
Like Icarus, he flew too close to the sun
I know he fell
But for a while there, he must have had some fun
Yeah, he must have had some fun
Yeah, he must have had some fun
In a world of such confusion, contradiction, and delusion,
We all can have a heavy heart
A certain symbiosis, paranoia, feeds psychosis
It can cause a man to fall apart
Like Icarus, he flew too close to the sun
I know he fell down,
But i know that he is not the only one
No, he's not the only one
If you don't shoot,
then you don't score
I know that for sure
I know that for sure
If you don't shoot,
then you don't score
I know that for sure
I know that for sure
He had a misanthrope for a dad
Who crushed any hope he might have had
When he was just a boy

paul's letters practically invent christianity.. the gospels trickled in after him.. paul never walked with jesus and yet explains him.. never a quote from the master at all.. yet, paul is such a maven.. if jesus couldn't be bothered to actually reveal what he was all about to his apostles with whom he ate, drank, spoke and slept---why this persecutor, saul?.
the apostles heard every word jesus spoke and were willing to die for him.. paul didn't--yet--miraculously explained every detail of the entire history of god's purpose including his messiah.. .
can anybody provide a non-gimmick answer?.
You wanted factual statements from the NT, you got one. Of course like Rabbis have said for centuries 'you would really have people believe we called the curse of Cain upon ourselves' oh brother
Context!
And in the same breath you fail to mention the one that was crucified on this particular occasion.
You hardly seem impartial.
Go into any Church of your pick and ask the congregants if they believe that statement to be true, or try the experiment about the word 'Pharisee' and listen to the responses.
You really sound very prejudiced and ignorant, here. I hope it is just my misreading you. As a member of a church, I don't share this prejudice of yours. I also don't share the view you think all Christians hold, and know a great many that don't either.
Whether you are dealing with a Witness or some 'Christian' why do they have this gullible attitude about the NT as being accurate. It all starts with bad material ie 'Jesus' and 'Paul', and the missinformation kept getting handed down generation to generation.
You seem to treat the NT as of being of a different and lesser category of historical accuracy than the Torah. That is, to say the least, strange.
It gets so blantantly bad in the Gospels you have Jesus uttering 'I give you a new commandment to love one another' John 13:34 Ooops that's from the Torah. Rabbinic schools had been teaching this for Centuries. Did 'Jesus' miss a class or did he just not want to give credit where credit was due.
It is interesting that it is Jesus' sayings in these texts that echo in the hearts of hundreds of millions of non Jewish people........but not those of your Rabbis.
Now of course the Trinitarians will retort- but our Jeus was there with Moses hammering out the sayings in stone and they critisize the GB for being hucksters. geeez
As a Trinitarian, I find you prejudices somewhat offensive.
You fully defend the Rabbis' religious interpretations....but bash the Christians.
If you want to reduce the latter to hucksterism, you have absolutely no credibility on the former.
OK, now I AM REALLY going to bed. Busy day tommorrow.
