  Ever question why Roman and Greek myth, had similarities to Christianity?

  the virgin birth, the strong men, animals being used to tempt mankind, the war between gods, etc.

  these are all things from greek and roman myth, yet every single one of these could be pulled out as examples from the christian bible.

  i asked elders and they would say that the greeks borrowed christianity to make their myths.

  I suggest everyone to read the book "The Jesus Mysteries" By Timothy Freke & Peter Gandy.

  I read this book it is back up by reference proof in all it statements and I promise you if you read this book you will never see things the same again. the Gospels are actually Jewish adaptations of ancient Pagan myths of the dying and resurrecting godman Osiris-Dionysus. There have been many Jesus or God men in the past that are credited with the same life being born of a Virgin, Gods son, turning water into wine for his first miracle, had twelve followers, died on a stake or cross, resurrected on the third day, and will judge mankind at the future during his return.

  Read the book and be reborn mentally and see how blind men of this world believe with out ever truly knowing the truth about Jesus and his life and the early first century church.

  Boy I made them squirm and am still doing so. They refused to admit to me that the Society joined the UN even after the offical letter from the Society which I mail a copy to each one of them. They told the brothers I made the letter on the computer and refused to admit the letter came from the Society. They knew the truth about the UN because I had a meeting with two different CO's at the same time about the body refussing to believe the letter. The CO's told the Elder body it was true.

  ok well this is one of those topics that's pretty much common knowledge.. the earth is warming, the ice is melting and sea levels are rising.. a) do you think we'll be able to take care of it before it becomes irreversible?.

  b) do you make decisions in your life that reflect a concern for this issue and/or other environmentalist issues?.

  i try to make sure we recycle and turn off what isn't being used.

  I hate to burst any bubbles here but, most of the time when we recycle we are using up more of the earth than we are saving? Rule of thumb if you sell the the material and make good money recycling that product then it saves the earth resources and then and only then is it good for the earth to recycle.
  
  Ex: many major city's recycle news papers, it takes more out of the earth to recycle paper products. So when you do recycle paper you destroy the earth more by recycling than if you would of just threw the paper in the garbage can. The process to clean the paper of print and pictures which is done with chemicals are very poisonous, then dumped into our rivers or into our air. The transporting of the paper to the local recycling plant, then the sorting process takes place and then the transporting the paper to the paper mills is costly. Most recycling destorys the earth but IT MAKES ALOT OF PEOPLE FEEL GOOD.

  Sorry to hear of your hurt. Is your family shunning you? Did your dad get reinstated?

  Yes some are shunning me, my brother and his family will not talk to me, but what is funny about this my brother talks to my wife.

  Yes, dad was reinstated after three long years being out. He has not been out the the field ministry since he has been reinstated. He goes to meetings out of habit but has mentally quit. It was so hard on him when he was DF'd we put into a mental hospital. He could not understand how he spent his whole life preaching the Truth and then get DF'd for telling the truth. He personally has brought in over fifty people in the BORG and is hurt deeply because of his part in being them in. One of the men that was on the Elders body that DF'd him was bought into the BORG by my dad.

  I was raised a JW, third generation. Grampa was a congregation servant and then Elder, my dad was an Elder for years. I made it up the ranks fast, you were not anybody if you did not become an Elder, I was appointed at an early age. I became stumbled when I found out about the Society's deal with Bulgaria. I was soon removed. I could no longer serve after finding the truth on Blood. Years later I found found out about the UNG thing. Told my dad he was DF'd for telling others about it, even though he had letter from the Society proving it. I was put on trial, but when the Eiders met with me I knew what they wanted to hear, I has sit on the other side so I was humble and listened to them. I was put on reproof for telling others about the UN deal. I was told it was to stumbling to others. They gave a marking talk leaving no doubt whom they were talking about. They said in the Talk that even a brother was telling the truth if it put the Society in a bad light then not to listen but run from the person and not become like the destroyer of faith. This happened the first week of November 2001 and I have not been back to a meeting since. I am known as the great apostate locally. I have done nothing wrong and I am mad as hell about what has happened to me. My wife kept going for over a year then one Sunday she came home and said she could no-longer sit through another meeting and she has never been went back. We are happier now than we have ever been. Except I can not get over being lied to and deceived, I hurt all the was to the very foundation of my soul.

  I have to leave for about five hours so when I come back I would read howdy from as many of you as I can. This will help my hurting soul.

  No one can be DF'd for talking about stuff unless its apostacy

  Yes they can be. I was an Elder, and I will tell you this, you can be DF'd for talking. For example: If you know of a sin that a brother has done that has been handled by the Body of Elders, then you tell others about the Sin, you can be DF'd for "causing divisions"

  You can DF'd for telling people about the the society joining the NGO's even though it is true you can be DF'd for "causing divisions"

  There are lots of things you can be DF'd for talking about even if they are true. All the Elders has to prove is it stumbling to the flock or stumbling to an individual person.

  there are records of at least six other NGOs set up by the Society that have Society-appointed representatives that meet in session with UN committees.

  I have not been here for sometime Can you or anyone give me proof of this?
