  Is there a Child Molester on the Governing Body?

  great report by abc on the abuses in jw-dot-org land.... i hope it opens a "floodgate" of future news reports and exposes.

  if you ask yourself, "why hasn't the watchtower leadership changed their policy on the 2 witness rule?

  if one or more persons on the gb has victims out there that can't come forward because of the 2 witness rule, then that would explain the permanent road block to policy change that is obviously in place.

  I would go out on a limb and say, "No." There probably is not a molester on the GB. They probably are all lily-white squeaky clean men. But there are pedophiles somewhere down the chain of leadership and there has been at least one molester in the Ivory Tower in the past.

  Plus, as a cult that never admits wrong, Watchtower must keep protecting what they can about the way they have done things. The 2-witness rule is supposedly "from the Bible" and universal to all things JW. They cannot bring themselves to make exceptions.

  Their way out is simple- make criminal and congregational things separate. Just because you can't disfellowship someone without 2 witnesses doesn't mean you can't "mark" them after you have cooperated with the law and the law has found them guilty. It doesn't mean you can't stand by a child when they make an accusation even if you can't prove that they are telling the truth. But they see any bending as making exceptions and maybe they, as a dictatorship cult, are right.

  This just in, Watchtower's compound was actually a spaceship and it took off to join the larger "wheel in the sky" to keep the members isolated from worldly lies. Rick Fearon's insider, Johnny, revealed all when he threw a message in a bottle out the window before they sealed all exits in preparations for leaving the atmosphere.

  But so that the world still has hope, they left the literature carts behind. Please feel free to take a copy. The Governing Body says that if you have any questions, the rocks of earth will sing out Jehovah's praises soon, any minute now.

  WT is trying to scare off memorial partakers

  i don't know how many of you still participate in the sunday wt study, but i unfortunately still do.

  even though i was asleep half of the time, i did notice something i thought i should share with the rest, in case you haven't noticed.

  a lot of the paragraphs were worded strongly against partaking and used clear language of intimidation and discouragement toward anyone thinking of partaking.

  I want to disagree. Any bloke can walk into the ceremony (if they are not disruptive) and partake, be they never a JW or a currently disassociated/disfellowshipped JW. Is there something in writing that says otherwise?

  I would encourage anyone who decides to "visit" the memorial to partake.

  Edited to add: I don't think Blondie was saying they can't partake, but was commenting on whether they "count" such people. Go ahead and partake, visitors.

  Insider Elder at the World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in Brooklyn, NY. called Six Screens early Sunday morning (March,15) and said Bethel is locked down. Bethelites are to not leave the buildings.
  The reason for the lock down is the Watchtower Organization is under-siege by the News Media. News trucks and reporters are outside the facility hoping to get a response on the critical news recently aired on ABC, NIGHTLINE exposing the Watchtower on covering up child sexual abuse.
  Bethelites have been instructed to not talk to anyone asking questions.
  According to the inside Elder, the Governing Body is having a special meeting today along with other Officials of the Watchtower to come up with a plan to control the impending damage.

  I googled what I could think of and found absolutely nothing about this anywhere else. One single news source was currently repeating the already-broken stories, and I am sure others have and will repeat them. I am sure some news people have been calling and showing up, but as for camping outside of the compound, nothing is verified.

  I think most of us would rather put the Governing Body in prison, but when that isn't possible, we settle for whatever actions are available.

  I think Watchtower is hoping any JW reading this focuses on the word "feel."

  as i sat through another mind numbing sermon this morning i could not help thinking that the speaker was a total clown.. lime green suit, white shirt, yellow tie, blue socks barely higher than his ankle, brown shoes, and an orange cast.

  all that was missing was a big red rubber nose!

  and of course everyone remarked what a wonderful talk he gave.

  Shorter meetings for field service

  march kingdom ministry insert is about how the field service meetings will be shortened from 10 to 15 minutes down to 5 to 7 minutes.

  they want the publishers to report more hours.

  in my experience the problem isn't the length of the meeting for service but pioneers and publishers dogging it after the service arrangement.

  They used to have 2 meetings in one evening- the Theocratic Ministry School and the Service meeting. They shortened those to squeeze the "book study" in there. It doesn't need to be long because they are just standing next to a cart or handing people a simple tract. The meeting for service should be shorter too.

  I am sure that some long-time pioneers said they wished this meeting was shorter so they could get back out there next to their cart without "losing" too much time. It's all about time. TIME TIME TIME!

  They probably said that some frigging elder thinks he is a hotshot because he graces them with his presence at the meeting for field recruiting and he thinks he is "teaching" them something by making some point or demonstration. They just want to keep their time rolling and get it the hell over with for the day. "Just let the pedophile pair up with the pre-teen and get us pioneers back to our gossip about the sisters while standing or sitting next to the cart." (Well, probably not those exact words.)

  so today, i went to the post office to pick up a package.... i decided to try to face reality and open it... what i found were multiple letters and wrapped gifts.

  Man. That must have been tough. If it helps with your decision to discard the cards, they only wrote them after some jerkwad elder (or higher up) decided it was okay to contact you. They would have left you alone if not for that. It is part of their spiritual warfare. People must have really liked you to pull this on you.
