  RollerDave: I was intrigued by your comments about 'Jehovah=WTS, so disbelief in WTS=atheism'. Very interesting perspective.

  Do I think and act like a dub? I don't think so. It's hard to say objectively, but I definitely feel more free to speak my mind and think freely. That's a step in the right direction. I wasn't raised in 'da troof'. I joined willingly on my own (along with LDB) when I was 18. Stupid...stupid...stupid... Anyway, I would think that one who was raised in 'da troof' would have a much harder time shedding the borg mindset, because they were brainwashed while the brain itself was still growing, learning, making neural connections.

  I'd be in my final year of nursing school if I didn't quit

  about 3 years i decided enough of being "content" with the fact that i had a decent job, if i was going to work, i wanted to do something that i loved.

  i've always wanted to get into medicine.

  but being that i was 23, married, owned a home, worked full time and never went to college, it wasn't going to work out for me to just enter into college and then proceed onto medical school.

  I can totally relate - I was in LPN school when I joined the dubs. I finished and got my license, but felt guilty the whole time, and I was made to feel like I was putting my trust in "the world" rather than the borg. I regret that I didn't pursue my RN degree. But now, after 14 years of being an LPN, I'm doing a distance ed program to complete my RN degree. I'm going rather slowly because I work full time, but I wouldn't be doing it at all if it weren't for this option.

  Don't give up. Even if it takes you twice as long as you anticipated, keep going. Take one class at a time, do some online things, whatever it takes. You can do it and I promise you will be glad you did.

  they all know i have major issues with the org.

  Maybe they think it's wrong only b/c they know she isn't actually DF'd (?) Meaning, maybe they still think shunning is OK but only as 'prescribed' by the borg-when someone is DA'd or DF'd.
