I have to aux pioneer?

ok so apparently the gb has instutuited some kind of quota for aux pioneers for the month of april for the memorial or something.

so the pos wife came up to me yesterday and told me "every congregation needs at least 16 aux pioneers for the month of april.

you should can i count on you?

winnie, he's 17 and lives at home with his parents. It's not quite that simple all the time.

17yo is old enough to stand up for what you believe is right (or not).

17 is old enough to move out and get a job, or alternatively, share with friends/relatives that are not JW's.

17 is old enough in 'the organizations' eyes to be accountable for your actions.

What good is it going to do going to the meetings/field service and then posting on this forum how much you hate it?

People respect you more as a person when you stand up for what you belive in, regardless of age.

Respect yourself, and stop living a lie.

you say that you have vowed never to aux pioneer again,does that mean you are still or will continue to be a jw

do you want to leave the jw s,if so what is stopping you

this may sound harsh but sitting on a computer complaining then going to meetings is a bit strange

i do get cranky when i read postings from someone who is clearly active and yet can not wait to get home from meeting and post the latest juicy gossip

if you read my earlier post, you know i received a card in my mailbox inviting us to 'return to jehovah and our family'.

along with this, came the latest 2 wt and awake mags (march i think).. i didn't read them, but my hubby glanced through them out of interest and came across an article with their list of what defines a true christion.. # 1 - love jehovah.

# 2 - donate to the world wide preaching work (!!!!!!!!!).

Really Bad Day Today!

i woke up to my kids all sick, a letter in the mailbox (put there sneakily sometime early this morning) saying that we should 'return to serve jehovah and become one of the family again' (cannot understand the association of meeting attendance = being part of a family.

family is family no matter what they choose to believe.

) and to top it all off, our 10 year old dog who has been really sick past week, had to be put down a couple of hours ago.

Will the change to the Watchtower be followed by a change to the meetings?

i expect that a significant change to the meetings is on the horizon, most probably in the form of a shift of the bookstudy from a weeknight to a condensed saturday morning version.

some congregations already hold bookstudy groups on saturday mornings.

a universal change to this for the whole organisation make senses as it would help resolve a number of growing problems for the society, specifically, meeting attendance is clearly diminishing at the rate of knots in the western world, many elders are burning out and resigning because they cannot cope with all the pressure heaped up on them that so many meetings in no small measure contributes towards, and magazine 'sales' are apparently down and such a change would work in very well with the upcoming new change to the watchtower magazine in january 2008. .

I still remember this one. I must have been about 6 years old. We lived in an old house and I had the same dream? (don't know if I can call it that as I was wide awake at the time) night after night. Middle of night I suppose, and I would wake up in a sweat. I remember being very hot, unable to move and staring at me from the doorway of my room was a ginger coloured cat that was so big it came up to half the doorways height. I remember being so scared for what seemed an eternity, and then I must have fallen asleep. I used to dread going to sleep. Funny enough, my parents renovated and added to the house, and when I got a new bedroom, it never happened again. It sounds so stupid when I read this post myself, but I can still remember the feeling, one I never want to feel again.

i wonder why families treat there own flesh and blood with so much contempt because they are inactive or disfellowshipped.. 6 week ago my father who is po of congregation ask me if i would like to go to the cricket to watch australia and england play.at the time i asked if any jw were going he said no.i payed for the ticket.did not hear from him for 6 weeks so rang up yesterday to ask about arrangments and was told that the brothers were going.

yes that right 3 elders and my nephew.. i did not ask to go i was invited.i payed for my ticket 6 weeks ago yet did not even get aphone call.when i conveyed my disgust to my father he blamed me.i can not fathom his reasoning.. so some elder is sitting in my seat watching cricket with a ticket i payed for.hope he gets hit on the head with a cricket ball.. my father is an intelligent man yet sometimes there thinking processes are so warped.they would not treat some drug addict they dragged to kingdom hall who shows interest the same way they treat own flesh and blood.. in 20 years time i think that jws will be a very small religion or almost extinct.if they keep up with there current thinking they will self destruct.tearing families apart will not make for a strong organization.

6 WEEK AGO MY FATHER WHO IS PO OF CONGREGATION ASK ME IF I WOULD LIKE TO GO TO THE CRICKET TO WATCH AUSTRALIA AND ENGLAND PLAY.AT THE TIME I ASKED IF ANY JW WERE GOING HE SAID NO.I PAYED FOR THE TICKET.DID NOT HEAR FROM HIM FOR 6 WEEKS SO RANG UP YESTERDAY TO ASK ABOUT ARRANGMENTS AND WAS TOLD THAT THE BROTHERS WERE GOING. YES THAT RIGHT 3 ELDERS AND MY NEPHEW.

A member of the Barmy Army, sick of sitting through match after match of cricket with England Losing, goes to the doctors and says

"Doctor, I'm sick of being english. I want to become a Kiwi. What do I have to do?"

Doctor: "Easy. Just a simple operation. We put you under and take out half your Brain."

Englishman: "Ok, lets do it."

After operation, doctor visits the englisman in his recovery room.

Doctor: "I'm really sorry, but I have some bad news for you. We didn't remove half your brain, we accidently removed all of it."

Englishman: "No worries mate!"
