  what would happen if a copy of crisis of conscience and a short well-written covering letter were sent to every single jehovah's witness worldwide?

  i realise this is not practical and probably dubious morally, but that is not the point of my question.

  with very few exceptions, my flailings and rantings as i refine my own "truth" have been greeted with patience and kindness, or kindly ignored.. i do not foresee that i will ever return to a belief system that you hold dear, yet i do respect your beliefs - and appreciate your insights.

  you know that thing christianity would love for you to forget happened.. when the court system of rome failed the christian courts took over they instituted trial by ordeal.. simply put any accused of a crime would be tortured tested to see if they were innocent by many forms of painful test to see if god would come to the accused's defence.

  if they were innocent then no harm would happen to them because of their faith, of course pretty much 100% of the time they were hurt an were summarily executed punished with all the love of jesus in mind.. atheist should due the same accuse all of christians of crimes and force them into trial by ordeal to prove their innocence and backed by god.

  It basically come down to this.

  If some man says he can project a force field with his mind and protect himself from any trial. What the heck are you going to do to prove to him he is wrong? Set up a test, a simple one.

  Here it is. Anyone thinking the force field of faith will protect you from any trial, here is a simple trial.

  Hold your in a fire for 5 minutes. If no harm and I mean zero harm comes to you then you must have some faith. If you can't do it then you have zero faith. Tip : There is a fire retardant gel that might help you get to a minute.

  Yes, force them to put their money where there mouth is and hold it up when they fail.

  IE not do it because it is stupid to put your hand in a flame because you think god will protect you from harm for having faith. Do mainly to the fact there is no god to protect you from harm.

  Utterly appalling, completely lacking in compassion, humanity, sense or reason. Torture is always wrong.

  I think I didn't make my point clear on that you put them in a position where they volunteer to harm themshelves to prove their faith if they don't do it then you have proof they think subconsciously that think faith is BS.

  Which this idea has been vindicated seeing as no one has shown the will to take this test.
