Point four might not work anymore even the society is going hard after the lazy ones. I think our CO put hitmen in our congegation. Two new elders appeared out of no where. They just moved in and where appointed on the spot. Last elder that moved in took several month for him to be appointed.
oh by the way my friends father ( the PO ) seems very stressed the last two CO visits. and our congregation has 2 MS and 12 elders.

it seems the gb knows it's over.
i don't think the gb thinks that the watchtower is going to make it to 2014. everything was so see thru a blind could of seen thru it, and to top it off the drama sucked.

Oh well that young couples, you know go to their cars during sessions, and well you can guess what happens. At least that what the urban legend says.
I am Have only heard this once from a brother that left soon there after he might have had imagination on overdrive. He was middle aged, if he was young I wouldn't give it bit of crediblity.

by megsmomma ini am talking about when there would be a get together and everyone would bring lots of food?!?
i guess being a glutton is not as bad as being a drinker, or fornicator...ect!
i remember going to a get together after leaving the cult....and i brought a huge vat of homemade potatoe- salad....and that was about all there was to eat!

Did you know why elders and ministerial servants volunteer so much at assemblies?
I knew that, some of my friends and their fathers have told that is the reason they do it. As well as sisters with bathroom cleaning an box sitting they get to talk to passers by.
By the way is the hanky panky in the parking lot true, or a witness legend.

" I'd love it if were true but I wonder if we are just seeing it from an outsiders view, my parents are well in with no sign of retreat or doubt. It might look dull and uninspiring to us but I'm sure it is completly different to them . . No, It was bad I have always been bored at the 20 or so I've been to. Everyone else I know seem bored or unintrested. I also over heard several people complaining about the drama, as well as the lines to get out of the convention, and the new book. And they amitted it was 90 or so years since 1914. They even paraded a 90 year old brother out to say he would wait another 90 years.( of course he can't )
The review that we had later was bascaliy dead only elders or pioneers seem to answer. Not as lively as it was last year.

Do you ever feel like you are still defending what the bible says?
by Sassy ini found myself in an interesting situation.. i've been spending some time on some non jw related boards and one day i ventured into the religion forum.. before i knew it i was there posting about if satan was created evil/ if god intended him to be that way.. and also discussing the free will given to us (and the angels) to make our own choices to be obedient or not.. .
well i haven't found a faith since leaving the dubs.. i still believe in god but i have yet to trust any organized religion.
i haven't even yet been able to bring myself to attend a church, because the thought alone give me anxiety attacks.
