  hell

  ok, i just got back from going to the movie bridge to tarabithia.. without going into details, the movie touches on the idea of unsaved persons going to hell.. this bothers me a great deal.. i just walked out of a religion that teaches that millions are going to be destroyed for not worshipping god just the right way.. it is amazing how many people really do believe that i and my husband and my fellow pagan friends, will be burning in hell.. how does that differ from armageddon?.

  this was a key reason why i left orthodox christianity behind.

  my sister as well as so many others have lived their own personal hells here on earth, the notion that a person could believe that since they do not believe in jesus as their saviour they will burn in hell is just beyond unsettling.

  Jesus the christ, the messiah, who comes to the earth w a light brighter than the sun. All israel instantly believes and is converted. Then, a bunch of other stuff happens, although exactly what and in what order is in dispute.

  5go, Is that your own figurine? I love that. Whenever I'd play a wizard or sorcerer in d&d, I'd always hope to get a pseudo-dragon.

  No I got it off google it's a McFarlane's dragon Spawn line . Though if I see one I am getting it.

  Why the WT Society will never sponsor a charity

  the wt society has convinced jw's that they are the one true religion and everyone who is not a jw will be destroyed at armageddon.

  in the mind of a jw any poor or homeless person who does not become a jw will be killed at armageddon anyway- so, why waste their money on a soup kitchen when everyone in it is just going to be killed at armageddon anyway?

  now, if the wt society should ever sponsor a charity for the poor they would be saying in essence to jw's, that the end is not around the corner and maybe jw's are not the only ones who god might look favorably upon.

  Wouldn't charity mean spending money on people who might not bye read their crap publications or donate to their WWW. I mean those dollars got to come from somewhere, and it isn't giong to be out of their huge bank accounts pockets.
