I have to agree with number 1 I was grilled about doubts but because I said the magic words ( BTW they are : What ever the GB says must be true so I will wait it out) they didn't DF me but they might as well have when word got around that I had doubted the watchtower.

With the July 15 WT approaching, would this be the ideal opportunity to start an ACTIVELY VOCAL fade?
by Captain Blithering inby 'actively vocal', i do not mean openly criticising the articles and pointing out the inconsistencies or flipflops (not footwear, reversals).
i do mean letting people know that you're finding it hard to understand the new truth, and the fact that there is therefore old truth, or falsities, (is that a word?
it is now), therefore if there are falsehoods (that's the word, of course), then that puts into doubt the extent of jah's involvement in the preparation/dissemination of it all... (and making it clear you're not saying they aren't gods prophets on earth, just that you're not sure, don't know).. the reason i ask is cos i'm finding it hard to completely fade without an external reason.

I hate to say this the longer I fade the more I have to say their is no real fading option. Once they sence you are no longer pulling your weight you are marked and that is it you are a DF brother in the waiting. They want little to nothing to do with you (unless it profits them) outside of the meetings and even then just enough to try to get you back in whole souled and pulling your weight. Once they see that's not going to happen they will write you off again.
Either leave outright, or learn to live with the BS. So far I am living with the BS but I am outright leaving in 2014-15 once I see the masses leave or if they don't I will leave anyways.

I don't get it ... 80% of people in Oklahoma DON'T have a Tornado Shelter. Are they nuts ????
by RubaDub ini really don't understand.
how can any homeowner in his right mind, not have a tornado shelter ???
i understand that some people live in apartments and condos, but someone with any size yard (even a driveway) could have a shelter.. to me it's a no-brainer.

yeah I have to admit captain is sort of right I was reading in a top ten richest zip codes in the US list and OK city was on it. All the others were in New York or Cali but having T. Boone Pickens living in the zip code could of messed with the matrix.

Try building a shelter under a mobil home with no money. I lived in that area I am surprised anyone had one. Everyone is stone poor and those thing are expensive to build and you may never use them I never did.

Wallkill is it a Commune?
by PaintedToeNail inafter reading how many people live at the wallkill facility, it made me ask the above question.
after looking up what 'commune' meant in secular sources, it seems that wallkill has all the hallmarks necessary to actually be a commune.
meals complete with assigned seats and required attendance, dress requirements, wake up times, music and tv restrictions, work assignments, heirarchy making all decisions, no money being earned by the workers, the vow of poverty.....

Moshe you are a bit confused, you described a cult compound. They fall under monestaries or missions. A true functioning cummune would technically have no leadership if it did it would be democratically chosen. It would also have no tie to a religion, and welcome all beliefs.

Ha Ha Ha No, despite sounding like they want communism; the watchtower is very capitalistic, border line feudal in it's arangement. The workers are slaves for god. The society makes no bones about (nor do any other christian org, why they aren't called on that beats me) it and use those slaves until they deside the slave isn't worth anything and cast them off. A commune would never willingly do that as that is the purpose of a commune is people taking care of each oher not taking care of god, or his chosen. That job is best left to a monastery, or a mission.

Part of the reason I left that area and headed for greener less windy pastures. Add to it that state is one of the poorest so it is really bad.

If man evolved?
by tornapart ini know anyone who believes in evolution is going to say that there is no 'if' about it.
however.... if man evolved over hundreds of thousands of years ago, why were there only about 200-300 million people alive 2,000 years ago?
surely there'd have been many billions by then?.

witness there is one problem with that theory that most trees would have died after being exposd to salt water for well over a month along with most plant life on earth. There shouldn't be any trees 6000 over years old if there was a global flood.

Pretty much what Bob 007 said with an exception that god must make some reforms and changes for the better or I am throwing in with the devil.

James you are where we all were at one time it's hard to accept that you were taught lies and deceived. But I am sorry you were. The facts never support lies but people can bend facts to make it look like the truth is a lie as well. Which basically sums up what creationism is, a bending of the facts to discount an established and working theory on how life got they way it is today.
One thing you must accept though is evolution is a separate issue from atheism. The religous leader love to bind them togher but it's simply a political ploy.
You can still believe in god and accept evolution many people of many faiths have done that, including Christians.
