-i would venture to say cultural differences and whether or not you choose to heed specific counsel from the podium are two different things. im not sure theres a scripture that says "nose rings spoil useful habits".....get the jist??

first, let me thank you kindly for the long winded explanation. i fully understand using the bible when discussing jesus or god, and maybe i didnt make it clear what i thought was "ridiculous". what i think is ridiculous, is for someone to say "if youre a christian, you shouldnt act this way, for jesus didnt", when that same someone doesnt believe jesus even existed.

I don't own the NWT, but I do own a copy of it. I am not with the JWs, BTW, nor I am an advocate for the NWT or any other one translation.
-wow hairdog, can you believe it?? maybe you jumped to conclusions to fast again. maybe you cant comprehend anyone outside of jws believing contrary to the trinity. or maybe you think were liers? jws masquerading as non-jws? or maybe, just maybe, thats the easiest way to disarm someone. call them a jw under the mind control of the wtbts, and the significance of their arguments are immediately minimized. it was a nice effort.

-correct me if im wrong, but i was under the understanding that you were NOT a believer in the bible or god, and therefore NOT a believer in christ. correct or incorrect? because if so, who are you to say anything about how "christ-like" someone is or isnt, and who are you to talk about how christ behaved in the bible, when YOU DONT EVEN BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE. thin arguments, paper thin.

-um, first off, i dont think anyone is crying about your hypocritical double life. were only meaning to point out that it IS hypocritical, just as most jws ARE hypocritical (which, dont they claim to be the one true religion, free of hypocrisy??). if youre admitting that you dont "believe the rules" apply to you, as youve indicated in the above quote, then i think were all done arguing the point with you. THATS ALL WE WERE GETTING AT, youre a typical fence rider, and youre now openly acknowledging it. thanks for ending the controversy.
