  mikepence threatened to sue me / contributions

  as you may or may not be aware the poster 'mikepence' has asked people to donate to enable him (and his family?

  ) to travel to the silentlambs march and to file charges against their alleged abuser.

  because he seemed to suddenly become very opposed to the idea of attending the march, i and some others asked him what i thought were simple and reasonable questions.

  you INTENTIONALLY IGNORE the simple fact that those folks WHO ACTUALLY DONATED were put on notice that they could rescind their donation anytime within 30 days._______

  Mike came back and ANNOUNCED that he wasn't going to the March (reasons not pertinent to this issue). THAT ANNOUNCEMENT put his donators on notice that they could get their money back if they so desired.

  thats ridiculous reasoning. if he raised the money sincerely, in order to attend the march, and then found out he wasnt going, its HIS responsibility (ethically) to refund EVERYONES money that contributed. its not anyone elses responsibility to keep a close eye on what he did or didnt post about refunds after the fact....what about contributors that dont frequent the board every day? unless he refunds every cent of every contribution, he proves himself a complete fraud and a liar who tugged on heartstrings in order to personally profit. he no doubt wanted all his posts deleted as they were evidence of his fraud.....probably covering his own @$$ legally. personally, i think its completely disgusting that anyone would use a sensitive subject like child abuse in order to make a quick buck.....but i suppose theres all kinds out there.

  " when i asked whether he was serious, he replied:"i am serious".when i asked him for further clarification, he suddenly vanished from the conversation.

  develop and design merchandise to be offered through silentlambs.responsible to coordinate sales and shipping for merchandise.negotiate competitive pricing for such materials.responsible for approval of posters and banners used to represent silentlambs.responsible to train assistants how to do your job.. i have some ideas that i would like to bounce off of you.

  perhaps i have been the one to misunderstand the prime objective of your forum.

  in the beginning i went to the orginal posts from you to get an idea of what you had in mind, and it did seem like i was in a good place and that i understood the rules and such.

  i wasnt telling you to leave, and maybe i sounded harsh....i was just being realistic about it. the fact is, to get what you want out of the forum, youre going to have to wade through alot you dont like. that doesnt neccesarliy mean leaving, unless you dont have a good pair of waders. many people leave because they cant stand all the turmoil.....and the vast majority of them return.

  ive never quite understood why anyone cares how long a subject goes on, or how many people respond to a troll, etc.......if you dont like the subject, dont click on it. if you click on a thread, and then decide its a pointless thread, or a troll post, or a subject thats being dragged through the mud, then move on to another thread. is it that difficult to select your own reading material, and what you believe is worthy of discussing? if 100 people all post "dont feed the trolls", or, "ignoring the trolls is the only way to make them go away".....will it change anything? will it make the troll feeders discontinue their habits? if 100 people get fed up with a particular subject being dragged out.....will it stop it?

  well, im not simon, but considering this is a public post, i assume its up for discussion.......

  I just didn't expect so much of what has been happening and escalating during the past several weeks.

  i cant believe the amount of times ive read something about the turmoil thats "been happening the past several weeks", or "this week", or "lately", etc..............the big controversies come and go, and everyone jumps in with their two cents. if youre expecting a nice calm place without all the crap in between, sorry to say you might want to look elsewhere. theres just too many conflicting personalities on this site, and that includes exjws pitted against each other on a regular basis. if you cant handle someone slamming your thoughts, sincere or not, again.....you might be in the wrong place. but, if you can put up with the occasional flame war and controversy (occasional might be stretching it....okay the regular flame wars and controversies), then youll find lots of useful information and helpful support here.

  the only thing that really catchs my interest with the whole thing is what has been edited or deleted........something about seeing that "edited by..." at the bottom of the page that always makes me curious....oh well. speaking of the "edited by" at the bottom of the page, nice fake timestamps there mike and matty....or is it mike/matty?
