the same amount of sleep ive lost over our soldiers that were drug through the streets of iraq.....yes, zero. perhaps i am a monster? that doesnt mean i am not ashamed of the way our countrymen handled this situation, nor does it mean i do not believe these acts to be horrific. can you see the difference?

i realize we sort of agreed not to discuss any topics (according to your wishes), but i had to comment on this anyhow (i fully expect no reponse, and thats entirely okay). the link you provided as ammunition against rumsfeld definitely shows how upset bush is over this treatment, even reproving rumsfeld for inaction. you are intent on making comparisons between these horrible acts and saddams regime.....can you see the difference between bush and saddam in that vein? bush is hardly condoning this type of activity, whereas saddam (the leader of his country) actually carried out similar atrocities directly..........worlds apart.

i must be sleeping under a rock, as someone just told me about this today......thought id jump on the board knowing there would be an outrage thread about it.
all i have to say is that this is absolutely disgusting, and all parties involved in any way should be prosectued to the fullest extent. i havent sifted through all 8 pages, so this might be somewhat repetitive.....i just read that rumsfeld condemned the acts, calling them "totally unacceptable and un-american"....i couldnt agree more. im not sure what the maximum penalty for this type of behavior is (again, maybe this has already been discussed), but i would hope that at the very least theres jail time involved.

if i am not greatly mistaken it were others who started with the insults.
i looked back over the thread, and couldnt find any posts where czar had initiated ad hominem attacks with six......or were you saying that as long as someone else on the thread had "started with the insults", it justifies six calling czar names simply because of his viewpoint? regardless, what i was pointing out to six was that he has established a pattern of tossing around obscenities and insults.......i didnt know if he knew or cared how that made him look to others, even though it may be flying under the radar of the mods.
