this person saw a post of mine today and sent me the sweetest note!.
Can I get you to be more helpful?
NO. you're violating internet protocol.
Go through channels and obey the rules of this forum. Go violate rules on YOUR OWN DAMN SITE. People like you are ruining what used to be generally a self-moderating forum and forcing Simon to have to police this place all the time.
Go through the webmaster of Juno and go through SIMON off the board.
edited to say:

Re: explaining JW suicide to an outsider Mar 19, 2002 00:00
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
this is how I explain it--very simply:
When your car is broken, you take it to an auto mechanic and not to a carpenter.
When your washing machine is broken, you call in an appliance repairperson and not the Catholic priest.
When confronted with someone who is exhibiting symptoms of depressions, bi-polar disorder or other mental illness, Watchtower elders call in the literature, meetings and filed service instead of a physician and mental health professional.
And finally, if a JW pet is sick, it gets taken to the vet. If a JW has a hurting tooth, he/she will go to a dentist. Their views on mental health are 200 years behind the times and hypocritical at best, and death-dealing at worst.

Now you're being nothing less than a TROLL. You know it isn't good neticeque to post private email communication on a board, PLUS ITS A VIOLAION OF BOARD RULES and that it will upset people if you do this.
If the person themself won't tell you HELLOOOOOOOO knock knoc knock GET A CLUE. Take the email down, please.
my mother had been a faithful witness for 16 yrs, she got addicted to prescription drugs and things got very bad for her.
she overdosed one nite and was put in rehab.
she began smoking after rehab and was disfellowhipped for it, she got a letter in the mail .
As was stated in both William Schnells' book '30 Years a Wathtower Slave' and Barbara Grizutti Harrison's book 'Visions of Glory'; there is no place for Jehovah's Witnesses in terrible trouble to go.
Thank God for Simon's site. JW's, non-JW's, and ex-JW's can all come HERE for help.

Talk about straining the gnat and gulping the camel....Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself.
No even the WATCHTOWER can brag about this concerning their own members.

Thought you were going to bed? I know I am!!!
of the yawning uncontrollably class....
i came across a website that included the oct. 1, 1994 wt, p. 6, as a reference for the society basically saying that reading the bible is not enough to understand scripture.
the website did not give a direct quote however.
i was wondering if anyone has a link to this specific wt passage?.
Here's another little gem:
KM 2/76 page 4:
3 When someone is willing to discuss only the Bible, but not with the aid of another book, some publishers have found it very effective to go along with the wishes of such a person, and they convey the good news successfully. One way of doing this is to jot down on notepaper that will fit into your Bible six to eight key scriptures from a chapter of the Truth book. Most of us are very familiar with this publication. We know the Scripture texts and understand them well. So if we use the key scriptures from one of the chapters and have the context well in mind, we can carry on a lively conversation with the interested person based on these key Bible texts. We ought to endeavor to guide the conversation, keeping it progressive and on the main points brought out in the Scripture references, while at the same time allowing the other person to express himself. In handling the call in this way we will really be covering information brought out in the book, theme by theme, but the householder will not feel tied to a formal study.
4 If you are experiencing difficulties with starting studies in your territory you may wish to try this way of teaching where someone is willing to have a discussion.

KM 9/76 page 8
Might a discussion using the Bible alone be reported as a study?
Usually one of the Society's publications provides the basis for studying the Bible with an individual. But at times persons are unwilling to use any literature other than the Bible. Yet such persons may be willing to have us discuss the Scriptures with them on a regular basis. We can then systematically consider different themes, using six to eight scriptures found in a chapter of one of the publications. (See "Presenting the Good News," Our Kingdom Service, February 1976.) Such systematic discussions can be reported as a Bible study after they have been held at least three times. (See Organization book, page 127.)
As the individual gains confidence, an appropriate publication might be introduced. When this is done, we do not want to give the impression that we are changing from a Bible study to a book study. The householder should continue to feel that he is studying the Scriptures, which is what he is, in fact, doing when you read, highlight and explain the scriptures in the material.
