"What will I do if I leave Jehovah's Witnesses ?"
by Balaamsass2 inwhenever we visit the board we see a lot of angst among jehovah's witnesses who are just learning the tatt (the truth about the truth).
hey, don't feel bad, we had it at one time ourselves.
"angst means fear or anxiety (anguish is its latinate equivalent, and anxious, anxiety are of similar origin).

"I tell my wife that I no longer want to be a witness and I refuse to raise my kids as witnesses any longer. She feels blindsided and goes to the elders. They recommend that she separate from me as I am a spiritual endangerment."
I'd cut her the hell loose!
And no it's not "just dance". Enjoy life and everything else will fall in place,

“We are not done yet!” – Candace Conti reacts to appeal court decision
by Watchtower-Free inhttp://jwsurvey.org/cedars-blog/we-are-not-done-yet-candace-reacts-to-appeal-court-decision.
candace conti (pictured in her interview with abc) has spoken out for the first time about the appeal court decision.
as current and former jehovahs witnesses digest the news that watchtowers appeal against the candace conti verdict has faltered, albeit with the punitive element of the judgment reversed, candace has reacted for the first time by telling me: we are not done yet.. news spread on monday that the state appeals court in san francisco had upheld the $2.8 million compensatory damages in the original june 2012 verdict, but overturned the $8.6 million punitive award against watchtower.. the court decided that, though watchtower had neglected its responsibility to supervise known pedophile jonathan kendrick in field ministry, a church-sponsored activity, the organization had no duty to warn parents in the congregation that a pedophile was in their midst or report him to authorities.. an insightful report by investigative reporter trey bundy has suggested that the court reached its decision because the precedent set by the conti verdict might be too burdensome to enforce.. the burden would be considerable because the precedent could require a church to intervene whenever it has reason to believe that a congregation member is capable of doing harm, and the scope of that duty could not be limited with any precision, the judges wrote.. candaces attorney rick simons responded by pointedly telling bundy: they think in public policy terms that theres too much risk in broadening the churchs responsibility and liability so that it burdens what churches do.

Why risk not having a resurrection when you die; you may cease to exist.
Think about it now before you draw your last breath.
I stopped believing fairy tales long ago!

Does anyone remember the Age of Aquarius, Flower Power, Peace Man, Love not War, I have a dream movement, then Vietnam.
I remember them all I lived through it, in Canada .I Watched American Vietnam Nam draft dodgers treated like scum..I personally think Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech will go down in North American history as one of the great speeches of the 20'th Century.

"Running ahead" I have not heard of that expression in years. Do you all remember the old red Babylon book that was studied on Tuesday night book studies? They can try and hide behind copy write laws and other things but the info will will eventually be placed on line by somebody. -

I AM old enough to remember vividly. If what you say is true, that it was overzealous individuals reading between the lines, who wrote the lines? Who fostered the attitude? Who appointed the elders, COs, DOs who whipped up the frenzy? Who commended (in writing) those who sold all their possessions to pioneer for the "remaining months"? Who selected the speakers and wrote the outlines and manuscripts for the assemblies and conventions where it was repeatedly stated that the millennium reign of Christ HAD to be included in the 7th day of Jah's rest "day" that they stated as fact is 7,000 years long?
They stated as fact that 6,000 years of mankind's existence ended in 1975, therefore the "Great Tribulation" would occur on or BEFORE 1975 to make the entire time period EXACTLY 7,000 years long.
Hey third gen sounds like me and you went to the same special talk in Toronto. LOL
The WBTS can try all they want to rewrite their history. I wish them good luck! In the internet age we are all in now it can't be done.
