1914—The Turning Point in History - Really?
by berrygerry in1914the turning point in history.
30 from the human standpoint, the world troubles and global wars foretold in the bible were far from the thinking of the pre-1914 world.

I'll make a prophetic prediction there will continue to be wars and reports of wars. It's embedded in our DNA and especially so with the females of our species. LOL -

I agree with Millie. The art of war is a very good book about strategy. Many of the high rollers in the financial world use it's principles. -

Silent And Sweet Rebellion Going On Within JW Organization!
by lsw1961 inafter 1975, the vast majority remained as though nothing has happened.
but some left the organization.
however, there arose a third category who did not leave the organization, but brought a new view into their heart: jws are right in their core cause (gods kingdom as the solution to mankinds problems) but may or may not be right in their supplementary teachings, hence are not bothered about changes happening in this unimportant area..

If the WBTS wanted to save their publishing empire they could learn something from newspapers like this. Its free as well. They make their money off of advertising to keep themselves going.
The WBTS could do this as well but they would have to publish the truth so I have no worries about that happening.LOL

Another hero of mine. Can you imagine the courage it took for her and other members of the white rose to stand up against the religious extremism of their time?

Humans are not wired to want the truth
by rebel8 inthat's what i suspect.. perhaps some of us retrained our brains to not surrender to a natural urge to believe the simplest, most drama-laden spins on facts.. examples (at least i think this is the truth!):.

A personal hero of mine. He faced divisions in his own family as well as the disfellowshipping hatred of the KKK.
Let freedom rein!

Are the horrendous killings in Paris part of a religious practice?
by clarity inislam is a religion of war, not a religion of peace .
seems there are many religions who do not tolerate other groups.
this statement "islam is a religion of war, not a religion of peace" reminded me of what was said at a watchtower convention in 2013 ....using a chilling example of how they condone dis fellowshipping & the soul killing practice of shunning!

Isis will kill anyone who does not do what they want totally.and it makes no difference who that person is.The best thing that we can do as the general public is to go about out daily lives and to stand up for our personal freedoms
Well said pepperheart! Don't let them scare you!

We live in the greatest time in all of human history. Further progress will depend on human efforts not supernatural delusions.
Well said Cofty!
