"Our Christian Life and Ministry Meeting" Lead to Class Distinctions Between Rich and Poor Congregations?
by Wasanelder Once inthe instructions for the new meeting entitled "our christian life and ministry meeting" indicate an interactive portion that takes little preparation and a great deal of media involved components, demonstrations and instruction.
i am sure not all congregations are setup for all the video feeds, especially in developing nations.
will this divide cause jealousy and strife within congregations and branches as the lag continues?.

Officials in Remote Northern Canada Thank Jehovah’s Witnesses for Special Bible Education Campaign
by OrphanCrow inthis article was published by the wts on their website.. i find this jw practice of targeting vulnerable populations to be so disturbing.
the last thing that canadian aboriginal communities need is yet another institution that victimizes their members.. http://www.jw.org/en/news/releases/by-region/canada/inuit-bible-education-northern-canada/.

The Witnesses were organized into groups and assigned to visit towns and villages that extended from Aklavik, Northwest Territories, in the west to Kangiqsualujjuaq, Quebec, in the east, a region spanning over 3,300 kilometers ( 2,000 miles). Those participating in this outreach campaign cared for their own travel expenses including, in some cases, airline tickets that cost several thousands of dollars per person.
Prior to the campaign, the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses approved translation of the video Why Study the Bible? into Inuktitut. This Inuit language is spoken by about 35,000 people in Canada and is recognized as an official language in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.Still burning up as a result of this article!!
I hope that the Witnesses on this expedition aren't all brain washed zombie drones. If any of them still have an active brain cell among them maybe spending a little time in Canada's far North will have a greater impact on the Witnesses than on their potential Inuit converts.
They should try wrapping their closed minds around the Inuit language for example not an easy task by any means. The Inuit have several words to describe snow conditions for example. http://ontology.buffalo.edu/smith/varia/snow.html It would be a very fitting gesture indeed to require young Bethelite missionaries or any religious fanatic missionaries to learn the culture and language of the Inuit as taught by the Inuit themselves in some recognized Institution of higher education. I am sure there are many people in First Nations communities that would love a crack at it.
This will provide much needed employment for the members of the Inuit communities who are academically inclined and give some Southerners an understanding and appreciation of Arctic culture and there is always the chance that it might awaken some of the religious zombies.
With whats at stake monetarily in Arctic resources the Inuit can easily afford this.

SecretSlaveClass:Stay out of their culture and lives and you won't get hurt - period.
I agree 100% with that. Staying out of their lives though I don't know? The Inuit are collectively a very social and engaging culture that generally speaking love outside contact and human interactions it helps break up the sometimes bleak monotony of Arctic life. The last thing they need is Jehovah's loving provision of Christianity. They already have enough superstition and crazy belief's to go around.

After Death Communications in the JW community
by jack2312 inmy name is jack and i'm looking for after death communications from the jehovah witness community.
an after death communication (or adc) is when a loved one sends a kind of message to this side of life after their death.
it can be a dream or smell (like perfume or roses that would be attached to them in memory) or a feeling of their presence.

Jack 2312 Even though I am not a believer in after death experiences I will enjoy your posts on the subject. Again my condolences on the death of your daughter. I have two daughters of my own and can only imagine the pain such a devastating loss causes. -

I always dream in colour. Some are so real, others are completely symbolic.
An example from yrs ago...
I am walking quickly using a wooden staff in front of a group of men. The scene is a Himalayan village with cobbled streets, many centuries ago. As we walk up a rising street, a man runs towards us and says "They have the children!"
doofdaddy:We all rush to the steps of a large building and bound up the stairs. In the darkness children are pinned in terror against the wooden walls. Massive naked demons with pig/human heads and huge manes of hair are about to rape a little boy. They laugh at us as if we are of no consequence.
Rage overtakes me and my staff turns into a sword which I swing to my right ear and severe the head of the closest demon. Their laughing stops and they arm themselves. The battle is intense and the demons begin to over power my men. While fighting a slight fear rises up then words come to mind. "If I die today, what a way to die!"
Wow! I'd really like to have a dream like that! Sounds like an episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I wouldn't need cable or an in internet hook up LOL

If dreams are to be interpreted as some kind of mental processing of life's events, what does it say about your mental processing if you have no dreams that you are aware of?
I'd really like to know?

Child care and abortion - two examples of the complexity of the issue
by fulltimestudent inin a perfect world, one would hope that no woman would need to consider an abortion.
there is unfortunately, no perfect world and there does not seem there will ever be a perfect world.
so consider .... 1. a child rape case in paraguay.. ... but the plot unfolding in paraguay is so dark and twisted that it is currently tearing the south american country apart.it began on april 21 when a mother brought her 10-year-old daughter to a public hospital.

Fulltimestudent Abortion definitely is a complicated issue. There are a lot of idealistic doctors and medical personnel that struggle with this issue all the time. Sad scenarios for everyone involved. -

Getting rid of field service might seem like a good idea but keeping the rank and file busy in profitable non legally risky, tax free endeavors might be a little harder to accomplish. You could easily dream something up where they are kept busy but it better not result in major law suites against the Borg and be a little bit profitable at the same time? -

I have been thinking about this and the Watchtower's disfelloshipping policies and how they might play out among Canada's Aboriginal population. A simple google search reveals a lot about the disfellowshipping practice but what would help even more is feed back from questions asked by Witnesses to, Bethel or some other place of authority within the jurisdiction of the guardians of doctrine, about how the policy would work among Aboriginal people in Canada's North. If the organization has any brains at all they would not answer any inquiries. Who knows they might just answer questions carefully asked? The answers to any carefully crafted questions, hypothetical or otherwise, would do great damage the WBTS's image among the Inuit in my opinion.
