  My Bethel Experience part 8

  well it is 4:00 a.m. in the morning and i can't sleep, so might has well write.. everything at bethel is seniority........"how long have you been here?

  " if you wanted a better room you need some seniority, rooms would go up on a bid system.

  if you were a new boy, and all your friends were new boys, it could be a year or two before you got a decent room and 10 years to get a room with its own bathroom, pre towers days.

  I love all your posts about your bethel experience...

  as for the gay thing, Ive always had a problem with how the JW's view them....(many hate them, and not just their sexual preference)

  my mother was always ignorant about gay people, she said, ''if only they saw the light from god's organization, they would strip off the old personality and become normal''...

  ARE YOU KIDDING MOM? yes she is THAT naive.

  I countered, ''oh really??? many are BORN THAT WAY'', she said, ''no, they CHOOSE to be that way''.sheesh!!

  ''Mom, if that was the case, then you can choose to be gay too. do you feel gay?'' she was offended. i said, ''see?? they cant change to be hetero anymore than you can change to be homo.'' she didnt say much after that.

  then I said, ''If homosexuality is from imperfection, then why do so many different species of mammals practice homosexuality?'' she said, ''animals are imperfect too''...''oh I see, there were two chimpanzees in the garden of eden, and the female enticed the male to eat from the bamboo tree of god and bad, so now all animals inherited sin''....

  my sister-in-law wants to come out here for the convention this year.

  i believe it's just an excuse to come and see my boy, but whatever.

  they ususally stay at my parents' house when they come out.

  As for sisterly love, Oh i know alot about that, since I have loads of sisters and sister-in-laws

  one who did call and was sickenly sweet as pie to me on the phone, who asked to speak to her brother (she never calls him my husband), and then invited him to her wedding. how nice. im not even officially DA'd or DF'd. (unless they announced something about me in the hall that I dont know about)

  my other sister took what I wrote to her in an email and printed it out for our brother to read, and says, now that smacks of apostate talking...I was merely telling her my feelings about why I did not go to meetings anymore....*sigh* oh well, such is the love. she is no longer speaking to me,and now, neither is my brother.

  if you are a guy, then the reason they didnt ask many questions is because you are a guy. hearing the sordid details from a girl is alot more titilating dont you think? maybe seanguy's elders were more into him? lol

  especially if you were raised as a dub like me, well i was called a muslim, holy joe, a jahoodsoon, all seems funny now but torture when you was the only dub in the whole school.

  I went through the same thing, they asked the same questions. they ask all those questions to find out Exactly what happened, without leaving out major details that could have an effect on the decision. When they asked me, I told them exactly what happened...every detail. And they could easily tell I was disgusted at what I did and I wanted to do everything nessasary to move past this. I was privately reproved. It's all in your attitude, you had a non-repentant attitude, and either justified what you did, or blamed it on your father or the elders. That's why you were df'd, you are a perfect example of why they ask specific questions like that-it brings out your true colors...

  Yes, and they ''need'' all the details to make the right decision pffffffffffft...great thinking there GENIUS seanGuy,, did you get off on the questioning as much as they did? They dont NEED specifics to see if a person is repentent!

  The only question they FORGOT to ask you is how SMALL YOUR DICK IS...because that's JUST AS RELEVANT as the rest of their line of questioning!

  And of course you werent DF'd, because you're MALE.

  They probably need you to be their little joe-boy servant in a few months...

  How far would they go?

  a while ago my mother said that if the society asked the jws to do something that was wrong they wouldn't do it.

  it is already easy for them to go against their own consciences, many don't feel it is right to shun others but they do it because they are told to.

  most would feel dreadful with letting their children die but would do it if blood was needed because the society tells them to.

  I think that if the society told members to kill members of the world, or gasp! apostates...

  I bet some are crazy enough to jump on that bandwagon. and you KNOW there are many certifiably crazy people in the troof!!

  But it would wake up alot of other reasonable JW's and cause them to start questioning the WTBTS doctrines and teachings...

  Not that I think they would ever do that, since the writing commitee is made up of mostly lawyers...(that is conjecture on my part).

  Has any contemporary, modern day scientist said, "The earth is flat."?? they would be the laughing stock of the entire world.. NO one would take them seriously ever again.

  likening the WTBS to scientists is like comparing President Bush's, or Paris Hilton's IQ to that of a 4.0 Harvard/Yale/Columbia graduate.

  I was deeply moved by it...and emailed it to some members of my family that are still active jdubs.

  as for grissoms comments - someone probably peed in grissoms cornflakes that morning, or something you said really hit a nerve...

  you know, the nerve where they realize that you are smarter than they could ever dream of being, therefore, lash out with their limited vocabulary, further proving their stupidity.

  i had a heavy thought the other day in a discussion with some friends.

  the question was this.

  if the wages of sin is death for humans then why do animals die ?

  We, just as the animals, have a built-in time limit. Where does it say Adam and Even were created "perfect?" They supposedly could live forever only if they ate from the tree of life. How come God put it there, and later blocked them from it, if they were designed to live forever anyway?
  
  And while Jesus was free from sin (holy), he was still a human who did not eat from the tree of life. So, if he hadn't been murdered, I believe he would have aged and died just as any other human, animal or plant.
