do vietnam watchtower flashbacks still haunt you?occasionally, there are times in which i get up from a sound sleep.

one of jehovahs witnesses.. sad to say, these dreams come back to haunt me in a negative way.. do you ever dream of still being stuck in the organization?are there times in which you find yourself back in the kingdom.

I still dream about meetings, but more often conventions,

even before my fade. I would dream of HUGE conventions, held at night for some reason, I am looking for my seat, and looking for my family, but I cant find them....I would sit alone with strangers around me, and I dont even have my books!

that is the reccuring theme, not being able to find my family...and now I have really lost them....

Assembly talks-WHy did they talk so loud at the end!?

whenever i would go to conventions, i thought it was weird how at the end of the brothers' talks (especially the older ones like from the governing body or whatever), they would start getting louder and louder and louder.

ie; "in this time of the end, we need to keep on the watch for our adversary satan is roaring about like a lion!!!!

do you agree??".

I ALWAYS fell asleep the last half...I think I even slept through a DC drama once...lol

the speakers voice just lulls me to sleep, i cant help it! even the loug claping never woke me up....I think the only time i did wake up is if there was a song...

I dont know your circumstances, or why you feel so depressed, but you need to talk to someone.

A close family member, or a friend, someone who will physically take you to a therapist who will HELP YOU.

you need to give yourself a second chance, please go and tell someone how you feel, dying is not the answer.

I was suicidal a few years ago, I know how it feels to have no hope, and to feel so lost and alone. Someone helped me see that there is more to life than what you see, that there is a bright future, you just have to choose to live, and make some changes in your life. There are always options. Never forget that, no matter how trapped you feel, there are always options, there's always a way out.

If most here R anti jw why bother writing mean hurtful and prejudges posts?

if most people are anti or ex jw why bother if you dont believe in it why waste your time writing mean hurtful and prejudges posts and set up a entire web site and forum dedicated to them.

its a religion not a cult and people write about jw's as a whole everyone is an individual and just like the rest of the world there are nice caring people as well as bad awful people.

jehovah witnesses dont set up web sites saying and exploting awful things that non jw's do to them, such as teasing bashing raping even murder..

My Aunts abuse wasn't life threatning although he had hit her a couple of times. I was a JW when I was under 10 I still havent read watchtowers or tracts sorry if my typing isn't properly written, in a cast its hard and with a broken collar bone. I came across this site by fault when I needed help after my depression was unbearable I always see my Aunt (a jw) still happy caring and nice and I was curious about asking for help, never mind sorry for posting goodbye world

I do hope your injuries heal speedily (HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU GET SO INJURED??)

I'm scared because you said, ''goodbye world'', I hope you are not suicidal. Suicide IS NOT the answer, suicdal people want an escape from their pain...please call a suicide hotline in your area, usually first page of the phone book if this is how you feel....tell someone, anyone...

For women: your view of strip clubs

i have heard two vastly differing viewpoints on this subject over the years.

regarding your significant other, would you care if they went to a strip club or not?

My hubby has been to strip clubs without me,

I fully trusted him not to fool around with any of the dancers.

He went with his workmate (they both worked nightshift as well) would go pick up his girlfriend who worked as a stripper.

I got paid to babysit her son for the night while she worked.

I would definitely go with him to a strip club, a CLASSY ONE,

and I'd pick the most beautiful girl there, and pay for a lap dance!

But that's just me...I know most women wouldnt do that.

Uh, yes they do, every month, in the watchtower and awake, they write about how THEY are the ONLY righteous people who are being persecuted for their religious beliefs, so therefore, they MUST be the right religion....I used to feel embarrased when I was a ACTIVE JW, thinking, what must others on the outside think of our religion when they write such self-serving articles about how self-righteous we are?.

There are REASONS why we are HERE. READ, hopefully you will learn a few things about what your religion's source is REALLY FROM, who really is teaching you, and not blindly believe all the things they tell you at the meetings.

I was once just like you, a firm believer, but ever since I finally had the courage to learn about the nagging doubts screaming in my brain, and I learned the truth about the LIES and DECEIT of Watchtower & Bible Tract Society, I am NEVER going back.

I was brainwashed, but not anymore.

This was not a mean or spiteful announcment, this is SINCERELY from my heart.
