So depressed...(world conditions)
by DanTheMan intoday was one of the hardest days i've had yet since leaving jw.
i was barely able to work, and i have a knot in my stomach.. i look at the world situation and i feel so hopeless and helpless.
knowing there are millions of people outside of the u.s. that, if you were to put a button in front of them that had a label below it that said "kill every man woman and child in the u.s.a." that they wouldn't even hesitate to press it.. i wonder where it will end.

My son is draft age and I just cannot imagine him going to war.
However, some things we just have no control over and this possible conflict is one of them.
No one wants to die but sitting and worrying about it will take away the joy of life we have now and will ultimately accopmplish nothing.
Whatever happens is going to happen.

PAY RAISE!
by Yerusalyim injust wanted to drop in and say hello and let ya'll know i haven't fallen off the face of the earth.
big news, on november 1st i will be promoted to the rank of sergeant first class.
this is a pay raise of over $300.00 a month (just in time for christmas) praise god!

What sold you on the JW faith?

although most everyone here appears to have had some degree of affiliation with the jw organization, the individual posters seem to be from pretty diverse backgrounds.

I LOST MY JOB TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they fired me today due to "pushing" someone that i asked to excuse me.
then i was told that my "attitude" was a reason.

Well all I can say is that they've got some nerve firing you from your job. What kind of people are they anyway?
Actualy, I think they did you a favor. You certainly don't want to be around people who are so dumb that they let beautiful, sweet girls go for absolutely no reason at all.
