More importantly, how does Jehovah feel about bald gals? Is a bald woman able to be a Christian and be pleasing to Jehovah? Would this not fall under the same type of category as women wearing pants to the KH? For a woman to be in subjection, should she not always be dressed modestly, in a skirt, and with a full head of hair? Would her going bald be a disfellowshipping offense? (Tongue in cheek)

WT March 15, 2010 - Page 27
by St George of England inthis article to be studied in two weeks time, in paragraph 13, footnote says: "jesus is the mediator of that covenant, not a participant.
as the mediator, he evidently did not partake of the emblems.".
(note use of evidently again!).

"evidently" Again putting their own ideas in and speculating on what may or may not have occurred or what it may or may not have meant. They have to pick everything to pieces to fit what they choose to believe. I agree with moshe - Jesus would have partaken.
In all the Watchtower Society's picking everything apart and interpreting the way they do, they lose sight of what Christianity is truly meant to be. They are not Chrisitan - they are Pharisees.

Perhaps Had a " Ghost " Experience the Last 6 weeks on a Job ? You tell me
by flipper ini've never been one to believe in " ghosts " .
i'm open to the possibility that there may exist something in the afterlife or spirit world- i just don't know what it is.
having been out of the witnesses over 6 years i had my fill of being a jehovah's witness and being told how " scared " i should be of satan or the demons.

Having experienced things of a supernatural nature myself, I do believe in spirits. It does sound like you talking to this spirit satisfied it in some way. It may over time it will contact you again in some way, hard telling. It doesn't sound like it is harmful, however.

Seeing JWs in settings that one would normally not see JWs...
by undercover inthe topic "no shorts, no t-shirts, no paradise", er, i mean "no shirts or t-shirts after the convention" had a post that reminded me of an experience i had that didn't really fit the subject of the thread, so i'll start my own thread and maybe we can share stories about how we have spotted jws in unique or strange settings.. this is the exchange on the other thread that sparked my memory:.
my absolute favorite (not) was when i went to the international convention in moscow.
i got switzerland as the side tour, and even though the convention was over and we were in another country, the females all had to be in skirts or dresses wherever we went.

When I was still in, I would occasionally go to a bar with my unbelieving husband. One night, I saw another sister there with her husband. Her husband had been an elder in the past, was disfellowshipped, and later reinstated, but did not become active again after being reinstated. They were there with friends of theirs who were not JW's. This sister was very active, uber-JW. She came to me and told me she was there for the sake of her husband, and I told her I was also.

My mother, 78 years old, calls my divorced sister, 55 years old, and quizzes my sister on what she studied for family study night. My 24 year old nephew, last one still home, gets to be studied with by his mom that night. My sister has been known to lie to our mother about what really went on that night. I wonder if God is happy when my sister decides to do something else that night besides study his precious spiritual food. I know I'm happy about it when she forgoes the Watchtower garbage.

I had to hurt my kids this weekend... it sucks
by Aussie Oz ini have been in a world of pain this weekend.. some of you know the ongoing battle i have had with my ex wife, an uber dub hypocrite, over seeing my kids more.
3 weeks ago i managed to secure an agreement from her that provided my 13 yr old daughter friday night to sunday afternoons and for my 16 yr old son to have friday night to sat afternoon with the option to extend it to sunday if he so desires.
this is each second weekend.. first due weekend visit she rearranged the days so that she was technically pre agreement start date.

You did the right thing. THis behavior on the part of your wife needs to be brought to the attention of a judge...the creating of other plans for the children to try to keep their time with you limited...and a cease and desist order sought.

Is the vindication of God's name taught in mainstream Christianity?
by pirata ini always found it odd that god would be so fixated on his good name that so many others would have to suffer so that he could say "see, i was right!
i told you so!"..
is the vindication of god's name/sovereignty a teaching unique to jw's, or is this also taught in mainstream christianity?.

"Count me in with the folks that have some questions to ask of God."
Choosing Life, I am with you there. But I really begin to think that the God of the Bible was made by man in the image that man chose for him, at least in the Old Testament. And in the New Testament, I think the only thing to be truly counted on are the Gospel accounts. Jesus truly did give us something to emulate. However, I find it difficult to believe that Christianity is the one true religion. I think all religions are made up primarily of man-made ideas, including the vindication of God's name.

When I was in fifth grade, my best friend and I won a three-legged race. Does that count?
