(This didn't format correctly the first time. I'll try this version to see what happens. Too bad there isn't a "preview" function hereabouts.) Actually there is much more to the number 32 than just the total of pages in a magazine. It also figures mightily in Bible prophecy as the following chronology (from the pen of Big Freddy himself) will show: 1879 - Watchtower founded Add 32 years... 1911 - The Egyptian winged disc symbol (the Uatchti) first appeared in Watchtower literature Add 32 years... 1943 - Nathan H. Knorr, while president of the WTS, stated under oath in a court of law that "The Watch Tower is set forth directly as God's Word." Add 32 years... 1975 - The world ended And there you have it...

You got it confused. This story is about John Denver. Don ho was a witness.
No, I believe you're confused. I Googled Don Ho and found no references to his having been a JW. OTOH I found his name in numerous versions of the story I related including one here: http://www.snopes.com/music/artists/ordered.asp

Oh, and my all-time favorite which sounds too good to NOT have
been true (maybe it was?).Four white male JWs in suits and ties were in a part of rural
Mississippi knocking on doors. It was a warm day and the car
windows were rolled down. Directly they came upon a humble shack
on an isolated country lane. They observed a lone black man in a
rocking chair on the front porch. One brother hollered, "I'll get him!" Another brother exclaimed,
"No, it's my turn, I'll get him! Before anyone else could speak
the man on the porch jumped up and darted inside.Momentarily he returned carrying a shotgun.

I heard another similar one about Don Ho. There was a big convention, part of an International tour, in Honolulu. Evidently Don Ho thought there might be dubs in the audience so asked them to stand. After several stood, he asked them to leave. After that story made the rounds, any witness going to Hawaii didn't see his show.
I heard this same story with a slight twist. Don Ho began his show by saying that there were "special guests" present that evening and so he wanted to begin by playing something "especially for them." He began playing the national anthem and, of course, only the JW's remained seated. When the music concluded the Dubs were driven from the building amid catcalls and jeers.

A circuit overseer from thirty years ago named Vasil "Bill" Sekela. He was a pint-sized emperor and a veritable human tornado. Every congregation he passed through was a scene of devastation afterwards.

A couple of questions...
by DubNoMo ini would appreciate it if someone could answer a couple of questions for me.
1. back in the 70s there was a time when the wts (aka borg) prohibited organ transplants.
later, they revised the theology (surprise) to say obtaining a transplant was a matter of personal conscience.

Later, they revised the theology (surprise) to say obtaining a transplant was a matter of personal conscience. Is this still the current doctrine or has it changed again? 2. Is the NWT and/or WTS matching concordance available on DVD/CD? Thanks for your help.

What To Think About John Cages' Opus 4'33"?
by Rapunzel injohn cage composed 4'33" [four minutes, thirty three seconds] in 1952. for cage, 4'33" represented the epitome of aleatoric - that is to say random or chance - music; it was the epitome of his notion that any sound constituted, or could possibly constitute, music.
4'33" was composed for any instrument, or any combination of instruments; and the score specifically instructs the musician(s) not to play their instrument for the entire four-minute-thirty-three-seconds duration of the piece.
they do not play so much as one single note.

John Cage is to music what Charles Manson is to psychiatry.
