  "He didn't want parents to teach their children that Jehovah is "up there" with pointing fingers up."

  Once some friends wanting to show off what they had taught the child asked her, "Where is God?" She promptly pointed to the table lamp. It seems they had a ceiling light when they were teaching her "where is God?"

  The parents were a bit embarassed but we all had a good laugh.

  If albumin is allowed when it's not from blood, could white blood cells from mother's milk be allowed?

  i think something that would totally "close the gap" with jw's and not accepting blood but accepting it through the fractions of fractions would be to harvest white blood cells from mother's milk (there are already mother's milk banks) and then transfuse them to witness patients who need wbc's.

  since technically they are not from blood, i think it would be an interesting loophole.

  anyone here know about a disease that can only be cured/treated with wbc's?

  i remember as a kid (in the late 80's early 90's) seeing ray franz picture in some kind of publication and being told by my mother that he was a gb member that became an apostate and wrote a book.. does anyone know what publication this could have been?

  i haven't been able to find it anywhere..

  Doug: I thought they saw this government composed of 144,001 spirit-anointed persons and that the total entity was in some way the FDS, with the GB being its voice.

  I don't think they saw the FDS as all the anointed both those resurrected to heaven and the remnant on earth but only the anointed while on earth.

  Paragraph 7:

  “In 1942, in themidst of World War II, Nathan H. Knorrdelivered the thrilling discourse “Peace—Can It Last?” In it, he identified the“scarlet-colored wild beast” of Revelation 17”

  This was actually a correction of a previously held view. It had been taught that the beast was the Hague World Court which went into the abyss when World War I began and came out as the League of Nations. Knorr now identified it as the League of Nations that went into the abyss when World War II began and came out as the United Nations.

  “This ‘scarlet coloured beast’ first came into view in 1899 under the name of ‘The Hague International Peace Conference’ “

  Page 94:

  “It came into existence in 1899 and functioned until the World War. It then went into the abyss and ceased to function. After the World War it came out of the abyss or pit and began to function again in the form of the League of Nations.”
