INSIGHT ON THE SCRIPTURES

i realize the publication is biased toward the jw doctrines, but is it accurate on the noncontroversial topics.

i spent good $ on it when it came out, and i wondered if anyone had opinions.

Although the INSIGHT book may have been produced with better hi-tech print production methods , it still is a P/R project for the borg , and i hated the way that only pioneers, m/s's , elders etc were the only ones who could get one at it's release at the summer convention that year, shite that , one of the reasons I left.......

A far better bible reference would be the Aid book,

Finally the Insight book really is good toilet tissue..

Taking predictions for the 2006 memorial partakers

the number partaking last year (2005) was 8524. what is your prediction for 2006?

the wts will publish that number sometime next year (2007).

i'll start this off and predict that there will be 8517 partakers for 2006. btw when does the year book come out?..

Well its odds on that the figure will increase , especially with increase in the developing lands , and all the shite for brains dubs who think they are replacing those annointed who fell away........ fools!

Has anyone stuck with it despite all of this?

hi all, i know this must have already been discussed, but i'm just wondering if there is anyone here who has just kept going to meetings and the rest of it, just so that they don't lose their family?

I kept up the premise purely because my sister was getting married about 2 years after I stopped going to meetings in 92, her wedding came and went, but you cant keep kidding and fooling yourself and just keep feeding yourself on their B/S because I believe your sanity is at stake, I just decided to jump and go for it........

You will come out better for it .. Trust me

over the years, the society has included half a page in their annual guidelines when planning for and attending the district convention.. in particular, they have been very insistent that only hotels on the recommended lodging list be used.. .

the language in this month's km is even more insistent than last years.. .

just wondering if anyone else feels the same way.. i've been out of the organization for about 4 years, but i still love jehovah and jesus, and i want to serve them the right way.

does anyone here feel a great sense of religious confusion now that you are not attending meetings?.

at the moment, i feel miserable, since i'm going through a divorce.

Sorry to hear your sorrow , but don't get too down on your chinstraps after all it is the season of good will to all mankind, I went through a Jw divorce some years ago, but there is always light at the end of the tunnel, my wife was an abusive , neurotic , mentalist, but since got married last year on the 4th July,

Forget about the angry Hebrew god Yahweh, he wont help you , trust me,

"I wanted to throw the book across the room"

i just read the topic "i thought i was alone" by newbie elinor.

i found it interesting how he mentioned that he wanted to throw the daniel book "across the room" after reading some of the many misapplied prophecies concocted by the overlord's in brooklyn.

when i was a jw i also fantasized at times of throwing the book across the room, but for me it was the revelation book over ten years ago.

Felt like that many times especially with their Revelation book, one doctrine that angered me was the 7 trumpet blasts, that was to signify the 7 pronouncements that Joe Rutherford made in the 30's I wanted to scream from the top of my voice" HOW CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS SHITE"
