well, i really don't know how to exactly explain this one, or how to ask this question, but i'll do my best.

first, some background information:.

me and my mother got into a religious discussion - something i really enjoy doing.

I can only talk by my own personal experience... even though my father was not a JW and made it much easier for us while growing up... the things I MAY resent about the whole JW upbringing I will keep it to myself since I honestly believe she did what she could and it would hurt her more if I basically tell her that she "failed" raising me.

Anyway... that's my opinion... hope you can weigh the positive things she did for you in all those years since you were born... I bet there are lots... and concentrate on those.

Help! I can't get my wife off

i have been registered here since october 2001, when the un story broke.

i figured it is time to start my first official thread and introduce myself.. first i would like to thank simon for providing this forum.

i have enjoyed it immensely for the past year or so and found it both thought provoking, and humerous.. the problem i have, is trying to get my wife of 18 years to visit here.

hey hows everyone doing... i am a resident of edmonton in canada, and i am only 16 years old, i just left the jw religion.

i just knew it wasnt in my heart, my parents dont care but i told them that i dont want to go to any meeting or talk to any of our old friends.. they still dont know why..but i fell like it was to much of a currupted situation..i felt like i was taking orders from man, not from god.

i was not baptized yet, but i was going strong in the ministry as a unbaptized publisher.

Not enough proper investigation.

last night there was a true story about a man who killed his wife by setting up another man, getting him to come to their house.

he murdered both the wife & the other man.

the police immediately thought the guy was innocent so they closed the case right away.

I saw the story... Pretty interesting... Everything looked so obvious and clear... and then some "insignificant" piece of evidence that they had overlooked convicted him many years later.
