  i have been "lurking" on this board for about 3 months and i finally feel ready to say something about the situation that i am in right now.

  it has come to our attention of a coverup that the brother in one of our kingdom halls this last week had stepped down for sleeping with another woman.

  Keep posting... I'm glad you're with us... many of us are here for many different reasons... some to do serious research, some to find out more about the JW's (not knowing not all here are "in good standing"), some to get some support from people that have gone through the same experiences while inside the Org. and some because we've made so many damn good friends that even if we're not interested anymore in deep biblical research we NEED the "association"...

  well everyone thanks to many of your comments and urgings i started my investigation to find the "truth" about the wtbts.

  today, i wrote two letters to the united nations and i finally ordered crisis of conscience.

  if any of you have any more suggestions or comments please reply.. .

  Good for you Sandy... I'm glad you did... I've always been very skeptical about everything... I didn't believe a lot of the things people here were posting about the WTBTS and in other websites until I did MY OWN research ( just to prove the "apostates" were wrong and to appease some nagging doubts I've always had)... Well I was in for a surprise... not only did I found more information than I bargained for but I also found a lot of support from people here... some even sent me literature through the mail and other information to help me out... I think that people like you (and me) when we finally convince ourselves about something we are VERY strong in our convictions...

  Please share with us all your research as new lurkers of this board will find your information "new" and appealing and they would probably be motivated to dig more and find the truth about "the truth"... just as you are doing.

  yes another dallas thread,but i wanted to say a huge thankyou to all of you for making me feel so welcome,.

  i have brought back memories that will last me a long long time,and have never met so many loveable loonies,in the same place at the same time,in my life,.

  which is why i may have seemed a bit quiet,for me,there was so much going on,i was trying not to miss,i didnt get time to say a lot he he.. i am sorry i didnt get chance to say bye bye to all of you,wild turkey and dede,sloan,my last sight of you was when the lift,sorry,elevator,doors where closing,.

  WOOHOO!!!! I FINALLY got my car fixed!!!!

  as many of you witnessed at the november apostofest in dallas, i severely ruined my car because i was in such a damn hurry to get my car parked at gloria's rediculously narrow parking ramp!!!

  with a $500 deductible, and no job....i was forced to drive around in a wrecked car....although i tried really really hard to swap cars w/megadude, since his is identical... to no avail....he'd not had enough beer i guess.. well....after much scrimping, saving, and several avon orders later (yes, i sell avon now - please visit my website: www.youravon.com/dianaflores )......i got my car fixed......wooohooo....and she looks so pretty!!!!!!!

  Fist of all... I feel honored that I got to meet you guys in Dallas, you and your whole family are very special.

  That was a VERY moving letter... and I can empathize with you. I haven't gone through the exact same things you went through but judging by the way myself and others have been treated in other matters I KNOW they are capable of the things they did and said and much more... and then, like you said in your letter they tell you that "there are some imperfect elders" in every congregation and it's a shame things like that happen... well... it happens all too often... and I think it's more the NORM rather than in isolated cases... I feel outraged by their actions and really hope that something can come out of this letter. I could feel your frustration because most of us in this board had felt the same way on many occasions.

  I wish you the BEST in life for you and your family…
