  yesterday he was jailed for 13 months for reporting outside a court in the uk.

  his was a non violent offence.. what no community service?

  As for protecting a him in prison—if he is where his enemies are and the correctional officers are afraid or bought he is at the mercy of the inmates.

  When the truth about what a person’s story gets this distorted there is so much chaos that people who are measured and law abiding become confused. When the strands of the story don’t hold anymore they revert to their biases. Do rowdy white brawlers put you off? Down with Tommy! Do foreigners make your skin crawl? Down with Brown skins! Sometimes rational people don’t believe that things can be this fucked up. But it can happen.

  My son was in an Arkansas prison. For decades they have been run by the inmates. The guards themselves are afraid or in collusion with the network. The power and communication is there. They extort money for protection, they have the ability to terrorize free people.

  If there is genuine concern for the principle of law then citizens should stand solid with Tommy on principle—do not let the thing continue as a Muslim vs. White Britain matter. Demand justice, transparency. Honesty.

  It means getting some skin in the game. At least a little- maybe a lot- of time.

  she didn't want us to go in the ugly vintage station wagon together so she carpooled with her friends, so i'm going dressed as one of the wurzels on a raleigh rally.

  Where ever this finds you tonight, l am gobsmacked,Son of the Trinity. Your post flew over me. I couldn’t find any context. So l went back in time and found you in a three year old conversation that l loved. You were worried about your boy in school and there were some of our good friends talking to you and you to them. (I hope all is well now)

  What l missed today in your sliding humor l caught in your sharp prose. I hope you aren’t disturbed if l paste your remarkable assessment of the JW religion and your efforts to make objection to it:

  I have become one of those anti-religious Jesus Freaks. I won't cut my hair or beard until my wife leaves the religion is just an example of my hating the fact that the JWs have become Charles Taze Russells worst nightmare, Churchianity at its worst. All the guilt of Catholicism without all the cute little bells and whistles, all the intolerance of Islam without any of the scholarship or valor, all the victimhood and paranoia of Judaism without any of the independent thinking and chutzpah. It has all the bad qualities of all the so-called false religions that it slanders.

  i don't remember seeing it ever really talked about here but the facebook group with the namesake of this post shut down at the end of march.

  it was archived and they weren't clear as to when or if they would come back.

  it seemed to come out of nowhere, and i know a lot of people were disappointed.

  Thanks for bringing it up , Dub. You would know not to take it for granted!

  This is my fifth camp out on the forum. It has been a stable outpost since l left the Organization. Some new interesting posters have come and other great folks have gone but the fort stands.

  I slipped in here after Bethel’s silly response arrived, Between that time and the day l sent a letter saying what l thought of the men in Brooklyn, l brought my mixed up thoughts to this board. There was nowhere else l could turn who knew what breaking away could do to a person.

  When my elder texted the answer to “Have l been announced?” I bought a $3 beer at the local bar to celebrate my “divorce.”

  This place was awake when l returned and told my news.

  Some one is always here. Suport, comfort, advice, maybe argument, or just a silent 👍🏽. It squeezes my heart to think of this place folding.

  I don’t know how you do it either, Simon. But l am so glad you have kept it going.

  TD— my youngest son is a game aficionado. I have never played but he has taken me through two games -or at least as much as I could stand. One I did go all through because it had a great story. I am surprised to say.

  Gamers even have magazines. The quality of art is high. My son has pointed out that the scenes created for stories that are more in nature than in, say, buildings consider all the things that make the games convincing: The time of day, the position of the sun that in turn affects the shadows. Ambient sounds etc. pull the players into many hours of it. He is the only gamer and he is far too absorbed in this after work in my opinion.

  There are only 24 hours in the day. The interactions you have in a game absolutely are not equal to real world relationships. They are fantasy.

  People need friends and involvement

  And 2+2 is right. You describe the killing well.

  Recalibration of the spirit is as you say, Coco, rough, beautiful, terrifying. Uncertain.

  Mostly I remember how often l would surrender my anxiety ( try to) with these ideas :“in the end it will be all right” or “all our tears will be dried”.

  I hope you are finding comforts enough,Coco, in the considerable good you do for others. When people learn to communicate and make music! That is lovely.

  I have watched this interview several times. It appeared first on a thread that contained those volite words “toxic masculinity” in the title . Though Peterson does cast out the phrase like a demon at the end, Peterson mostly emphasizes that young men need clear direction, a sense of purpose, and must learn to accept responsibility in order to be men. They must learn to “bear the burden of being” with grace in this hard world.

  He notes that both men and women are aggressive (men the more so he says, throwing in a freebie: that post modern reconstructionists (?) somehow deny that men are more successful than women in their suicide attempts [wtf?]) and notes in an aside that in past times philosophy and religion played a part in developing the young man.

  Has anyone read the book he references here? If he cites a toxic culture for its effect on young men — l am with him.

  But l will confess what might be obvious. He makes me feel bad. This man doesn’t let women up for air in the talking l have heard from him. Just when he has built the case for men having their world overturn on them and l am feeling indignant for the lack of feminine appreciation for a hardworking guy l feel like Peterson is blaming Eve, the snake and the Apple. It’s like f—king original sin.

  The guy is well spoken but when he says “toxic masculinity” and “women” in the same sentence l swear l feel his spittle flying through my phone screen....

  Is his book better?

  However, the one thing you will never hear in this debate, certainly from the left, is that they want to do anything to tackle overall gun crime. Why? Because it will disproportionately affect black people who commit a disproportionate amount of all gun crime.
  ... except for mass school shootings of course, which is why the media focus on it so much and the left is so keen to make it a political issue to attack those who tend to be conservative.

  Simon, There may be a general mindset in America that makes people want to have guns in the first place but for now step away from the matter of gun control.

  Shootings in minority communities are distinct from the psychological factors that are involved in mass killings in schools. There seems to be segregation in this bloody matter too.

  The problem is moral cowardice. That is a problem.

  Even if Tommy Tobinsom did violate the terms of his parole or whatever, don’t Britains have the right to know what happened? Yet I read the newspapers are scared. You are not under martial law are you? Besides that fellow does need protection. He has a right to that.

  Do you think there will be riots if these Mudlims Muslims arrested for the sex gangs are convicted?

  cofty—The issue is the long failure of justice. If a law is broken then what penalty follows? None? The pendulum swings wildly in that case.

  Freddo mentioned hate speech in the preaching of Imams years ago.Are there laws in Britain that could have addressed this?

  Why did the rape gangs go on so long? Wasn’t this against the law? The high class girls weren’t disappearing were they? Or did l miss that.

  It was a good thing when a few months past the Britain was going after the Church of England and others for child sexual abuse—far easier to make the case that the law wants to keep children safe from rape perpetrated by any one of any religion—not just Muslims. Get on it!

  edit: TheUS has had a big problem with sex trafficking of girls through an online advertising group, Backpage. Lots of people getting on the bandwagon of trafficking. Not saying the Muslims were and I’m 99% of it there. But I still would not be surprised if they were more using the services
