  If this forum was high school, how many cliques would there be?

  i might ruffle some feathers here.

  we know in high school there is always a seperation of the students to a point, in groups or clicks... like the nerds, the jocks, preps, stuck up types, popular/not popular, druggies, bullies, etc.

  so after months of reading everyone here, i know there would be groups formed among all the members here, if we were to be put into a gathering situation.

  I have noticed a couple cliques but I am not bothered by that. What is really disturbing is this one that has just surfaced.

  Is it thier music or the poofy shirts?

  They became very famous and sold millions of records. It is measured in $$$

  The same thing can be said about rap and hip-hop. Never confuse talent with just slick marketing.

  We are going to look like old farts to the twenty somethings here. Right now they are googling Pong, Donkey Kong and Coleco trying to fiqure what he hell we are talking about.

  My 8 yr old daughter wanted to know what an LP record was and I had to google a picture of one to show her. Then she asked me how many of them I kept in my car back then.

  Brothers in arms was the very first CD I ever bought along with my Technics CD player. I will never forget the power and clarity of the opening guitar rift from "Money for nothing". I was the first one of my circle of friends to get CD player and it was cool to see thier rection to how clean a CD was compared to cassettes.
