Do you recall your "point of no return"?

was there something special that happened, an event or maybe a deception, that triggered your point of no return as a jw.. .

.

When I discovered up to 20 people in my congregation (Edgewood/Milton WA) that were going to the horse races sunday after the meeting and gambling. I was only 19 at the time and went to an elder (Cliff L.) that I trusted to ask him how I should handle this. Turns out he was also gambling and I quickly realized I just stepped into a very big pile of poopy.

I realized that quite a few people were doing alot to try to get me into trouble, enough to get DF'd thus silencing me. Within a month I moved out of my parent's house into another territory and faded.

That experience was just like a light switch being shut off. All of my friends and the loving fellowship went cold. The following six months was the worst time of my life.

The good part was that no elders came trying to get me back. If I chose to take this info to the CO or DO half of that congregation would have been DF'd considering all of the spouses and friends that probably knew about this gambling ring and did nothing.

I make custom knives as a side business and on each one I shoot some short video of me hammer forging them. They get burned onto a CD and go with the knife to the customer. They all like it very much seeing the knife in the different stages of production. The videos also get posted on YouTube so they can be shared on the different knife making forums I hang out on.

Digital TV over a phone line

is anyone using the new digital tv via the phone lines yet.

our phone company is now ofering it but i would like to hear from anyone that is using it and what they think.

out where i live we can notget cable tv and i am getting slightly annoyed at our satellite service.

The DSL TV system is less expensive and I could save even more since I allready have DSL through them.

not your average movie in that car chases do not seem to exist, such as to be perceived anyways :-) though i wouldn't agree with some of the more "new age" viewpoints, it's a nice piece of mind candy, that quantum mechanics/metaphysics thing.

and a few interesting opinions on the nature of god,...... a day in the life,...... .

Since most ex JW's have good perception the movie is worth watching aside from some of the "fluff". Most of us get caught up just reacting to day-to-day dynamics and not taking charge and constructing the type of day we would like to have. The movie brings some quantum physics into the mainstream by using great animation and laymen’s terms to do so. It very much changed how I interact and treat other people each day. Since doing that I have had nothing short of phenomenal experiences. I am the biggest skeptic you are going to find but when something appears to work I place a certain value on it.

The Hindus refer to of karma and Christians the doctrine of "do unto others". Now it appears that there is a electro-physics aspect that validates century's old beliefs.

However you can practice and perfect this new behavior without jumping in bed with the "ramsters". What we think and feel does affect other people, and before we open our mouths. Human beings were communicating with each other for who knows how long before any words or languages existed. Think about that for just a few minutes, it has allot of implications.

Princeton University is conducting a very in depth study of collective conciousness. They are bridging religion over to physical science.

That movie is just a hook to get you into yet another cult. I live right in the heart of JZ Knight's AKA "Ramtha" little kingdom. That shame is the movie had some very good info but mixed in alot of BS with it. JZ Knight pretty much owns the town I live near and anyone that wants to open a business is in for some problems if not part of her school of enlightenment. They are very much a cult and operate much like a mafia would. They believe in just about every conspiracy theory that is out there. The many members that are friends of mine are most certainly brainwashed.

I very much liked the message in the movie about creating your day. My own expereinces have been very positive by using that approach.

I sincerely hope that no one here attacks you. It is very important to get this info out into the sunlight. Any inside info from a former elder is going to be very enlightening for all of us. The real "truth" can be a very bitter pill to swallow at times, even for ex JW's.

Remember that women are a considered second class citizens in the eyes of the Borg. Why would anyone care about the lifelong effects she would experience? They can rationalize letting a child bleed out and slowly die of hemoragic shock. What's a little child molestation in your quest to be "top dog" in your congregation?

They realize that they are in a catch 22. Do nothing and continue to look bad or DF/DA Prince and deal with the fallout in the media and thus look bad.

Give me a break!!!!!! They claim not know about Prince and lied right over the phone to us and anyone else watching the video. Those of you still sitting on the fence please tell us what you think of your brave and devoted leaders now.

What's the next BIG thing?

history is punctuated by events that have a permanence, an effect on the direction we move in.

the 20th century was marked - among other things - by it's world wars and moon landings.

so far in the 21st century we have 9/11 and, i'd say, an explosive leap forward in biological knowledge.. so what's the next big thing?

Hopefully the Borg going down in international scandal and the head honchos doing the "perp walk" on all the major news channels. Seeing them indicted by a grand jury under the RICO statutes and having many multi million dollar lawsuits filed against them would be a good start. Imagine driving by every KH and seeing the doors chained up with a civil asset forfieture notice stapled to them.

And then I woke up, looked the clock and realized I overslept. But we can still dream, right?
