But what's sad is when they graduate your wife will get 100% of the credit for doing a great job of raising "your" kids. Both my wife's and my family can not even wrap thier brain around the "mr mom" concept. They do not have an area in thier brains to process such an idea therefore it does not exist in thier realities. They stopped their social and cultural evolution somewhere around 1954.
Heavens forbid if we might show a hint of frustration sometimes.

It does feel that way sometimes considering I am the only guy in my circle of friends and family that does spend over half the week taking care of kids. I am being honest and would be lying if I said I enjoyed 100% of the time. My wife changed her mind nine months after my daughter was born and decided to go back to work. Then to compound matters every single offer we had to watch our daughter backed out right when we needed them the most. So I use the term "stuck" because I told my wife I would support her decision either to return to work or not. She uses the the term more then I do and we both use it as a slang for commited.
There are alot of jobs we have to do that we are not always happy to do. The bottom line is that we get them done and having a positive attitude is not always a requirement.
Can anyone show me one mother that does feel "stuck" sometimes???? Lets be honest.

There is a big difference between dirty minded and just raw ignorance coupled with tired worn out stereotypes. When you misrepresent someones profession that they have worked hard to get to and maintain you are going to piss off people. I enjoy my job and take great pride in being able to help so many people that were in pain. My work stress level is very low and I do not have to deal with a boss since I am self employed. The people I treat look forward to thier appointments and always have a kind word for me.
Those that want to associate my profession with sex only demonstrate thier petty immaturity and close mindedness to the rest of us. I am glad that you at least exposed yourself for what are you to the rest of us. Sunlight has always been the best sanitizer.

This thread is not about boners. It was about JW's perception of the industry and the boner aspect has allready been discused to death a couple weeks ago. Is there any reason we need to waste more time beating a dead horse?

As long as we are on the topic of not reading posts I already mentioned that I currently treat seven JW's and one of them is a CO. I also treat several hardcore LDS members. In my area it is not an issue so why did you have to make it one? Your assertion was so far off I was not even offended just very annoyed that there are a small handful of people that still think like that. It makes our job all the more challenging when we have to deal with ignorance and false generalizations. It not an issue with JW's or I would not be treating them. They all know that I am no longer a JW so you would think they would have two reasons to avoid me but they don't. Just had one in today oddly enough.
so .. my husband and i are going to start trying for kids next year.
we had a long discussion last night about disposable diapers vs. cloth diapers.
i know this decision can wait but i just like talking about my expectations early rather than end up with conflict later on.. i want to use cloth diapers and he thinks disposables are the way to go.
I was a Mr mom for 3-4 days each week when my daughter was still in diapers. I could not imagine having to deal with cloth diapers and we live too far away from any city to use a diaper service. The disposables are clean, neat and easy to use and in my area the same cost as a diaper service.
Even though that six years ago I still deal with post traumatic diaper syndrome whenever the topic comes up. If I had a nickel for each time I blew chunks during a poopy change() I could retire now.

In most US states massage therapists do not work under the auspices of any doctor. We also are credentialed to be providers for most insurance companies. But part of our job is to educate the public and change the stereo types some of the more ignorant people continue to probogate. Anewme is proof that our job is not quite done yet.

Go to your local city licensing dept and ask them what category they place massage therapists
Well for me it would be the Washington State Department of Health. We are required by law to complete a DOH crendentialed training program before we challenge the written and practical tests to obtain our Health department license. Once licensed we have to carry liability insurance and complete continuing education hours in order to renew our license. I do not know what state or country you may be refering to but you obviousely are not aware of the program in my state and most others in the US.

I currently treat seven JW's and one of them is a circuit overseer. They do not have any twisted perceptions about massage in my area. Given the fact that you posted that you do not know of any massage therapist that are JW's that have been DF'd or pestered means it's not an issue even in your area either.

Fortunately society as a whole does not share your clouded and ill informed perception. Comparing what I do to palm readers is very ignorant to say the least. Do you have any documentation that would back your opinion?
I think the danger is that massage therapy requires very little schooling for the great responsibility and challenges the therapist takes on. Being alone in a room with a naked adult for an hour or longer requires the highest ethics. This is much longer than the 15 minutes alloted to doctors who usually have an accompanying nurse in the room when examining female patients.
And clients go from therapist to therapist looking for the weak ones who will succumb to their suggestions and advances. Its not just the therapist who can be the predator.
Every month our office gets a business newspaper that lists all the licensing actions being taken against all health care providers and level of training and college degrees don't appear to come into play. Quite a few local doctors and dentists are no longer practicing due to innapropriate sexual contact with thier patients. So your above quoted opinion does not hold any water and is not based on any solid fact or reality.

I guess you missed my post where I mentioned JW nurses and doctors? What do you see as "unseemly" about my profession?
