  How much does a housewife cost?

  don't take this the wrong way, this is purely out of curiousity.. .

  assuming you are the working man who makes the money, and the wife stays at home and takes care of the house and cooks and does laundry and all that stuff.. no children!.

  how much would it cost to hire someone(s) to do all those things instead?

  I have several friends that do not help much with housework even though thier wives also work. My wife and I split all the chores in half since we both work. Although my wife has banned me from doing any type of laundry for some reason.

  Women still live two years longer then men on average in the US. Most likely because a vast majority of men still work in the most dangerous jobs.

  I am very fortunate to have a wife that does not look at her position in life from a monetary stand point. Every time my wife see's a news report about supposed "housewife" comparable salary she gets pissed and posses the same questions I posted above. It would be too un-PC to ever run a news story about "housedad's" comparable worth.

  If anyone looks at life/marriage that way they have more serious problems to deal with then pay.

  Had tooth pulled-tremendous pain

  yesterday i had an abscessed wisdom tooth pulled.

  the pain now is much more severe then before it was pulled.

  the worst pain is where the dentist gave me the local injections-it hurts so bad!

  The dentists in my area all refer patients to maxiofacial surgeons for wisdom teeth extraction. You also get to choose if you want general anesthesia or local. I went for general.

  Report the dentist to your local state dental board ASAP.

  As Tara mentioned a dry socket will give you pain that meds will not take care off. You have to get it packed since you may have lost the blood plug. I had four pulled all at once and one went dry socket and the pain was beyond horrible. As soon as the socket gets packed 90% of the pain will be gone.

  Topical gels, ice/heat packs won't even touch dry socket pain. The socket (extraction hole) must be packed with gauze soaked in topical anesthetic. I will never forget that pain.

  You have to check thier lowback area for the "best if used by" date. Alot of time the ones that are expiring first are placed in the front of the display. If you are in a hurry you can end up with one that is allready sour.

  Has anyone calculated what a plumber, mechanic, handyman, electrician, landscaper and gigalo would cost yet? In my case you would also have to calculate the "Mr Mom" value for half the week.
