I have friends in Burnaby, would one of those congo cover that area? I believe they go to a fancy smancy KH, underground parking and elevator, cost big$$$ from what I remember. These people are on the edge, disgruntled with loads of issues.

as xjw's, many are the reaons for that shortness of breath, pounding heart, ringing ears etc.
i have tried lots of tricks to get through it but something i learned on oprah from dr oz has worked for me.

Yes, the breathing focus is an ancient remedy, meditation. I found the 'cork' part kind of unique and easy. Ya do look silly with a cork in your mouth but it can be a quick fix until you find time for a deeper session.

i have met so many decent and caring people here and i really apprcieate the acceptance that was shown to me here.. i thank each and every one of you for helping me on the road to healing from the abuses i suffered due to the wts and it's lies.

Now look here BFD, did you see all the dear friends that have written to say how much they care and need you. I'm just a mom and I'm telling it like it is. You cannot leave.
OK, you can take a break, we all need a break from time to time.
I had my feelings hurt here once and it was difficult to return. After some rest I returned and started having fun once again. I am old now and I know for sure, time heals.
Many of us have F'd up brains, I like to think of us as a Club. Once you join, there's no getting out.

I have tried lots of tricks to get through it but something I learned on Oprah from Dr Oz has worked for me.
You take a wine bottle cork, place it in you teeth, standing up and focus on your breathing.
You are all going to make cute comments about the wine, I knowww. Sure drinking the wine is a remedy too but not always doable.
Just a quick fix, not a long term cure.

The Borg is Hounding Me Now !

Maddie, my heart goes out to you. This is a most sad time. The loss of core level beliefs compares to losing a loved one. Ah but time does heal.
In the first 6mo after our last meeting, we had elders, family members and dubs come around about once a week. We never refused any visit. They would get around to the JW topic only after small talk and then we would just say, 'thank you so much for your concern, we appriciate you kindness'. That was it, not difficult. A few times an elder would be more direct or ask if we still considered ourselves JW. I would say, 'why do you ask' and if pushed 'my relationship with Jehovah is as strong as ever' or heres a good one 'I make it a matter of prayer'
I am not a expert in the area but I don't think they will DF just for not going to meetings. Only if you are 'causing divisions in the congergation' by speaking to one after another of your research and the 'truth about the Troof' would they have reason to form a judicial committee.
We have been able to maintain our relationships with family and even some JW friends. No one shuns us. Yes, when we run into a JW at Costco or resturants they are often cool but most still say 'hello' and not much else.
After a few months they give up and then you wonder if they ever cared at all. We have not had any 'visits' now for over a year.

I am all for salt. Dagney and I are into designer salt, pink, gray, corse, flakes
some say it's all just 'salt' nay, each is unique
and I had understood the chicken bones were red because they were killed at such a young age, bones not fully mature. Hum....I must watch more TV, those industrial factory tour programs are very educational.

27* and 3' of untracked powder snow and more white stuff on the way here in Eastern Wa.
I have lived her over 20yr but originally from SoCal. Every year I am still 'shocked' when the white flakes start to fly. It just does not seem natural.

Regional Building Committee decisions boggles even a dubs mind...
by undercover inso i'm talking to someone from my old hall and he tells me that there are some disgruntled jws (including elders) who feel like some bad decisions are being made by the rbc.. for instance, one hall needed a new roof.
an elder, in the construction business, made a deal with a local non-jw roofer that if the brothers cleared off the old shingles, the roofer would come in with his crew and do the new roof for x amount of dollars.
the rbc elder in charge got wind of that arrangement and nixed the deal.

I have to say.....you are all Right On....the RBC is a hugh Power Trip for the suits. It is a step up from their local power trip and most are addicted. Sad to say, my son is among the group. His current assignment is to interview all past, present and future volunteers. Each and every worker is to have a 'file' on them. Shades of CIA, FBI, Xfiles or worse....very scary.
