  The wt society - and hell

  "hell" has word meaning roots of "a concealed place" as does "cell", and "an abode of the dead" - it is often described as prison, and since the middle ages it has been figuratively used to describe a bad experience.. when i read people posting the term "kingdumb hell" it reminds me that the jw denial of endless punishment as a living-dead person is simply a denial of their own existence.

  indeed it comes with a continual burning (desire) and fire and brimstone (the threats and fear of harm, and labour).. my response to their "there is no such thing" is "really ?".

  i feel like i'm in hell in the org.... “that is where the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth will be” I cant tell you how depressed i feel at times feeling so isolated and stuck in this fairy tale dream world thats supposed to be a spiritual paradise. Give me a break...

I can't help but think i'll be reading folks lies and absurdities... i hope i can keep my self from laughing and/or losing my breakfast. My parents are definately proud of my “spirtual advances” and that jehovah must be blessing me.... yeah sure... if only they knew. I wish i could get out of it but declining the “privlege” would just set off red flares and deem me unspiritual in the eyes of the bros would it not

  Do j.w.'s use a "prayer book" and recite prayers?

  when i went to my father-in-laws funeral last year, my j.w.

  daughter and son-in-law went up to the casket in the funeral home, knelt there, and "prayed".

  as i think back on this, i hear j.w.

  they follow a basic template of what god (wtbts) says is ok to pray for. Many public prayers are basically scripted. On a personal level the Jw can pray about whatever they want....

  Do you, too, see JW chronology numbers everywhere?

  i regulary look at my digital alarm clock and it says "19:14" and i think "hmm, used to be the end of the 'gentile times'" than i take a look at my number of posts and i have already passed 1914, 1918, 1925. when i look at car plates i get reminded of year numbers having been hammered into my brain.

  well, this is not really serious, but i get always reminded of my jw past.

  i have to add that chronology was something important to me and carl olof jonsson's book "the gentile times reconsidered" was an important one for me.

  you keep seeing 2012 everywhere zen ? so do i. Ive been facinated with the mayans and there apocalypto theory. To all who have no clue what im talking about id recommend reading this http://en.wikipedia.org/2012. Its also interesting that there longcount calender division which ends on 2012 is made up of 144,000 days lol not that that means anything but its still interesting to say the least.... cheers!

  My whole life i had to force the pieces of Jw doctrine together like puzzle pieces that don't fit. Now i see how everything is falling together and the concept of the WT'S dogma is crumbling like a house of (distorted) cards. this is somewhat unrelated but It's all so absurd. I wish you could have heard my families discussion at the dinner table tonight. Ny own parents see the corruptions of belief yet they merely pass it off aa the mistakes of others. I cant take put up with all of this craziness and hypocrisy... sigh....

  you had bro chin as you CO? i had him two Co's ago and he was one of the strictest ones we knew. The elders including my father whera scared silly of that guy. I overheard a conversation where my father even referred to him as unloving and cold (gasps!) lol
