Woo whooo!
by lurk3r inkinda crazy, but finally being able to get on here almost makes me feel like i have just been released from prison.
i have had the privledge of doing nothing but read so many of your posts(for a solid 7 months i bet)...and i really wanted to say thank you, to the ones here who wear your hearts on your sleeves.. first off, i would like to thank the warden for making all of this possible (kidding simon...thanks for keeping this board going).
secondly, every single one of you regular posters here have been a great source of encouragment...looking at the many posts you have have contributed to the site really shows what dedication actually means.

Have you tried volunteer work since leaving the dubs?
by yadda yadda 2 ini have been feeling urges to try some volunteer work, to do something with my time to help those less privileged than me.
since i left the jw's, which was quite a few years ago (faded), i've always felt something missing in terms of mingling with a group of people and doing something of a volunteer/charitable nature for others (that's not to say jws do anything charitable really, although some people have been helped to clean up their lives through joining their religion).
i think it would be tremendously fulfilling to try some volunteer work to fill the vacuum of wanting to do kind things for others, something altruistic.

At the moment they just think im 'weak' and so they try to lovebomb me when they see me, even with my piercings lol. And they feel really sorry for my dad sitting on his own at the kh, they love him.

I have to abruptly curtly cut their personal questions off. I am firm, smiling and slightly rude. Too bad.
I think i need to start doing that too, because its just getting ridiculous.

For the most part yes. The ones i like i will go up and say hi when i see them but other then that i try to avoid them coz they ask so many questions, and it gets annoying dodgy instead of answering as its really none of their business. I always found that they asked too many questions and were just too nosy in my old cong.

Any Starbucks fans?
by cameo-d inwhat is your favorite type of coffee drink?.
i don't know too much about all these different kinds.. how does steamed milk affect the flavor as opposed to cold cream?
or is it a 'temperature thing' that makes the difference?.

Over here the coffee isnt that good quality. I go to Costa coffee and Cafe Nero, their coffee is very good.
