  Name "UNWRITTEN" Rules That JWs Are Supposed To Follow

  as with the scribes and pharisees, there are a number of unwritten rules that witnesses are supposed to follow.

  here's a couple : "worldly" kids in society depictions are shown quite often wearing their baseball caps backwards.

  jehovah's witness youths would not want to imitate that "look".

  Blood - current JW thinking...

  a few observations from (indirectly) talking to a couple of hlc members who have recently attended meetings with his in brooklyn:.

  (1) any hope that the wts will further reform the blood policy is wide of the mark.

  the wts is very happy & settled with the current situation (whole blood + 4 components = nono everything else ok).

  Hundreds if not thousands of dubs have died needlessly and will not return.

  6 million+ dubs, 2% would 120,000, I would say hundreds of thousands.

  How worldly JW's are becoming ?

  is it just me or are dubs becoming so much part of the world?, in the very minimal contact i have had with any jw, especially 1 year watching the young sisters approaching a d/c they seem so materialistic, they all seem to have p/c's mobile phones, latest cars, etc etc, talk about being gods people, it could not be further from the truth,

  Instances of JWs causing serious harm?

  can you recall instances where the wts seriously damaged the emotional health or generally the life of other individuals or you?

  what i can recall are two young jws at the congo who had strict elder fathers and ended up suffering severe depression due to the many restrictions in their lives.

  growing up as a jw in a repressive and unloving environment is not easy.

  1. My mother could not have a brain tumor removed; because, she would not take a blood transfusion. As the tumor grew, she lost her sight, ability to walk, control of bodily functions and finally ability to breath. Ten years of agony, she died at 58 years old.

  2. My sister-in-law could not have a colon cancer removed; because, she would not take a blood transfusion.

  3. My sister, I am not ready to go into that one yet, IMO worse than the first two.

  I hate this F***ing Clut.

  i received this in an email from a jw today.

  i know the person who sent it, i used to be in his congregation, and he suggested i put it on my site.

  i assume he was joking, it certainly isn't going on there, but i thought i'd share it with you guys.

  Does anyone live on a warm Island or in the Keys?

  every year about this time the wife and i have our yearly talk about selling everything and moving to a tropical location.

  we are getting more and more serious about this as the years go by.

  we have even made a financial plan.. one of the possible destinations are the caymans because of its openess to other nationalities.

  San Diego is as close to perfect climate as you can get. Never freezes, low humidity, no bugs to eat you up like FL. The only problem is it costs $$$$$$$ to live here. If I could find some ware better, I would move tomorrow.

  i guess that's how it will always be for me,,i've moved on,,all my family is "out' thankfully,,but i spent too many years there, and i won't ever become a member of a religion,,in jest, you are my "church" i guess.

  When we quote from the bible to prove a point do we have any right?

  one thing you'll see me and many others do is the good old bible bash with scriptures flying around.

  i cannot move away from the idea however, that when we cannot agree on the interpretation of scripture how can we possibly claim our understanding is superior to anothers?

  yet upon such topics hangs the supposed destination of one's soul.
