i hope that some of you lurkers out here really take a look at some of the thread in this section of the board.
this awake magazine says not one thing about how families are asked to trust their elders and how these very elders were and are abusing their children.
it mentions nothing about watching out for these trusted men in the congregations.............oh it brings out the internet, other family members and fathers and males in particular.. it will tell you how much your child needs to do to prevent something like this from happening.
My mom tried to convince me to take this "for my son's sake" and I nearly threw up. I wanted to tell her I'd left the dubs for my sons sake and he was safer now than he'd EVER been while we were going to the hall. I didn't because it would just hurt her, but still, I was so angry and sickened by the hypocrisy I had to leave before I said something awful.

Yep, that's him. He was a very nice guy and actually much easier to listen to than most of the COs we got. Not such a hardass. To be honest, I don't remember much about him except a talk he gave about mountain climbing and ropes, lol.

i've heard a few posts on this forum suggesting the wt society has its own 'secret' team of people who lurk on this site for information purposes but also to identify individuals who have left the org and become 'apostate' and are actively working/campaigning against the wt society.
can anybody here verify this?
is this actually happening?
No doubt in my mind. Easy way to out moles back at Bethel or doubters in positions of power.

being a pioneer/servant for years, i thought i was very responsible.
when dating a sister whom i later married, i read every publication on courtship the society had.
i then spoke to an elder whom i thought was "resonable" and we agreed as the publications say: "a couple can meet together in a public place, when courting, without a chaperon.
Huh, that's a new one to me, Aniron. Where did you hear about that?

Nick Bytes? I knew a guy who was in CO training. He might have ended up being a CO. Why?

and by that i mean the supreme being or jehovah or jesus or buddah or whatever you might consider to be "god".
nope

were you a note taker?
did you truly listen??
were you a daydreamer?
Great opportunity to balance my checkbook! Also used to do a lot of short story writing - that was great for passing the time.

i was watching videos on you tube.
when i came acroos this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-40ymwfg9sq i came across this statement.
the bible may not come right out and say that birthday parties are bad.
Yep, Tula, that's the line I always spewed as a good little Dub.

can't explain this one.. right in the middle of my shift i became disassociative.. my brain locked and i threw my hands up and kept repeating, "i can't do this!
i can't take this!
right out the front door of the bookstore.. i wasn't angry.
Terry, I just want you to know I'm glad you're taking care of yourself. You are fascinating and infuriating (and I'm an atheist, lol!) and I respect you enormously.
