Controversial criticism of Science
In September of 2012, in a speech at the Liberty Baptist Church Sportsman’s
Banquet[49] Paul Brown stated that the sciences of embryology, evolution, and the
Big Bang are "Lies straight from the Pit of Hell." This position is in support of
his stance supporting Young Earth creationism. In the speech he also says that,
"Earth is about 9,000 years old."

Rutherford's smear campaign (a must read)
by Leolaia inthere has been some interest recently about the moyle case, and how it may have set a precident in what became the society's disfellowshipping policy.
in july 1939, the chief legal counsel of the watchtower bible & tract society, olin r. moyle, resigned from his position in a protest over conditions at bethel and rutherford's mistreatment of workers.
he did not want to continue living under those conditions and he felt he could effect positive change for his brothers by taking such a stand.

The stones ARE crying out, it's happening even today!!
by EndofMysteries ini wonder if anybody realizes, that this scripture, luke 19:40 but jesus answered, "i tell you, if these become silent, the stones will cry out!".
everybody has understood this to mean literal stones on the ground crying out, but that is not what it meant.. look what ez 36:26 says, "i will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; i will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.".
the witnesses are the stones crying out..

I don't think he meant that if his immediate followers were made quiet the hard
hearted would cry out. I think he meant that even if his immediate followers
were silenced that the actual stones would cry out meaning a metaphor that
followers who were all around (common like stones not stone hearted) would
testify in his behalf. -

Same thing happened with Raymond going to Kingdom Hall another year after being
put out of the GB apparently thinking it was an unusual dark cloud that would
blow over. You don't want a resentful guy put out from the top hanging around
the customers where he could spill. So they made up rules to get rid of him with
damage control about him being apostate. -

In the little rooms the leaders of org. crime meet, they may hash out disagree-
ment of policy (how about 587 BC instead of 607 BC?--CJ found out about some
cuneiform tablets, etc.). But the meeting isn't over till everyone agrees to
tell the same lies--common sense. You seem to the others too much like you don't
want to play ball (to the head guy: no disrespect, but you don't drink or talk in
private the way you should to be a respectable Don), you're out.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eT19flOFKkThere's some precedent in how Russell got others to shun and slander the wife he
separated from.

Good research. The only drawback to doing an expose of what a dork Rutherford
was in private is that he was already known for being a dork in public: kidnap-
ping Jesus, America's favorite religious character, to attempt to bond w/Hitler
over antisemitism and branding the Pope and all other Christian leaders Hitler's
allies, sanctimoniously predicting "America has to fall" during WWII, etc. with
sound trucks, radio, and people sent to play recordings and say so door to door.Rutherford was part arrogant drunk but I wouldn't get too caught up beyond that
in wondering if he believed his own PR egotistically. A scam artist knows his
own scam is a scam. All the leaders from the 1880's cooked up reasons for customers to think they
were the chosen spokespeople for a literal 144,000, which never came naturally
from a humble sincerity. The first hoarded money and ripped off his wife while
instituting the shunning policy against her, the second started getting followers
beat up and killed, and later came harsh shunning for damage control and having
followers and their kids die at hospitals. Even Raymond (quite rightfully), like
Albert Speer or Henry Hill, admitted he was ashamed of what he had to be to take
part in it (once forced to defect and selling books about it). -

'occasional eccentricity and abnormal attitudes' of Jehovah's Witnesses in regard to the Anti-Islam VideographerÂ’s First Amendment Right to Insult Religion cited
by Sol Reform inmarci a. hamilton gives poor grades to both the obama administration's and romney in failing to articulate long-settled first amendment principles of the usa.. .

why the united states must either get behind the anti-islam videographer's first amendment right to insult religion (and politics and politicians and every other power, large or small), or lose what matters most.

"Copy and Paste":
I'm not sure myself in a couple cases.
Speaking for myself, even if I wanted to make a case against Islamist extrem-
ism and the video the furor is about appeared in my Email I'd click Spam and
forget about it. But in the initial post, it's brought up that the threats and
even murders of the hyper-politicized Islamist protesters in reaction to it has
tempered freedom of speech concerns and led to judgments against the admittedly
irreverent speaker. Most commentaries, even by our leaders, pass that point by
without showing evidentially that the hypocrisy of those reactionaries is
immense, so I couldn't let it pass by without showing research sources for it. -
