One indication of the accused knowing right from wrong is if they do things to
try to get away with something they know they'd get in trouble for if their
parents or a police person was beside them. In defense of the parents' ability to
instill an understanding of right and wrong, the kids took their victim off into
the woods to try to murder her. They knew murder was bad but tried to do it in
spite of what their parents (and society generally) taught. I suspect they had
some strong dislike of their victim and Slender Man is a dumb smokescreen.

"How about Jephthah?"

http://glenster1.webs.com/basicspage2.htm"Who in his right mind would design content that asks kids to kill someone?"
Slender Man is a horror figure depicted in various works of fiction including
games. The point is to avoid him--not kill children. Imagine being 12 and giving
something like that, or out of a Hitchcock movie, as an excuse for attempted
murder. Unsurprisingly: "The attackers were charged as adults and are each facing
up to 65 years in prison."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slender:_The_Eight_Pages
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slender_ManThe closest to the excuse of the girls I could find is in the background of an
antagonist of the 2nd game of the series, not something given as something the
protaganist can do to become an assistant of the Slender Man:"Kate - friend of Lauren, she becomes the secondary antagonist for most of the
game, but is also playable in "Chapter 4". Her mother has recently died and she
has decided to sell the house, prompting Lauren's visit, but disappears. Prior to
the events of the game, she had visions of the 'Slender Man' who she shared with
her friend CR. The night before the events of the game, she was attacked in her
home but managed to escape, as revealed in "Chapter 4". She was subsequently
turned to serve as his "proxy", or an assistant of sorts.""The Slender Man - the main and faceless antagonist of the game. Facing him
causes the camera to glitch and distort, intensifying as the player gets closer.
In the game, it is also shown that he can turn his victims into "proxies", or
assistants of sorts."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTnRcgtP1xc
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slender:_The_ArrivalI don't think you can play as an assistant, though. This YouTube video shows
someone goofing around with a proxie:

Why do Christian nations think they can assimilate Muslims into their communities , does Islam attempt to assimilate Christians in their communities ?
by smiddy inislam /muslims today are what christianity was centuries ago , the two beleif systems are like oil and water , not to be mixed .
christians are not tolerated spreading their infectious disease amongst muslims, in islamic countrys , and harsh penalties apply for them doing so in muslim countries , including the death penalty.
stonings , whippings etc.. on the other hand christian nations are very tolerant of muslim extremists who incite hatred and violence on their own territory , and they get a slap on the wrist and say dont do it again .

Some of these things (inerrant old text, etc.), as in Abrahamic religion
generally, are matters of conservative stances. As in other Abrahamic religions
they don't all have the same opinions about everything. What I have on it so far
is mainly on p.4 of my article on "Basics":

Living agreeably in mixed company, or secularization, seems more likely to
happen in a more modern secular society. See the article at the next link:

"Honour" Killing in Pakistan
by cofty in25 year old farzana iqbal was stoned to death by a crowd led by her own father and two of her brothers outside the high court in lahore yesterday.. her crime was to reject her cousin, who her family had decided she should marry, and fall in love with a man of her own choosing.. thousands of women are murdered every year in so-called "honour killings" but convictions are very rare.
pakistani law permits victim's families to forgive a murderer, but in these cases the killers are family members who are nominated to carry out the execution by the rest of the family.. this is what happens when you allow a mysogynistic religion to influence secular law.. reuters report...l.

"How can christians see this and be disgusted? Their favourite book is full of
the same laws. Sharia law isn't so different from mosaic law."There are four main viewpoints in the modern debate. They are known respectively
as Christian feminism, Christian Egalitarianism, Complementarianism, and Biblical
patriarchy.

Part of a related article:
"This discretionary power to punish after waiver of Qisas in case of Qatl-i-Amd
liable to Qisas, or to refuse a settlement in a case of Qatl-i-Amd liable to
Tazir, has been granted to trial and appellate judges under the Qisas & Diyat
laws. Unfortunately, Pakistan’s judges have in the past misunderstood the Islamic
jurisprudential principles at the foundations of these laws and have failed to
exercise their discretionary powers. Most judges refuse to sentence the accused in
Qisas cases after a pardon by any of the heirs or fail to adequately police the
compromise settlement in Tazir cases. As a result the critics rightly argue that
the Qisas & Diyat laws result in acquittals for the accused in a majority of
cases. The responsibility for this regrettable state of affairs lies squarely with
our judiciary rather than with Islamic law.

The case is mentioned in this article:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honour_killing_in_Pakistan#Specific_occurrencesOn 27 May 2014 a pregnant woman was stoned to death by her own family in front
of a Pakistani High Court for marrying the man she loved. Police investigator
Mujahid quoted the father as saying: "I killed my daughter as she had insulted all
of our family by marrying a man without our consent, and I have no regret over
it."1990 Qisas and Diyat Ordinance
Most honor killings are encompassed by the 1990 Qisas and Diyat Ordinance, which
permits the individual and his or her family to retain control over a crime, in-
cluding the right to determine whether to report the crime, prosecute the offend,
or demand diyat (or compensation). This allows serious crimes such as honor kill-
ings to become "privatized" and to escape state scrutiny, shifting responsibility
from the state to the individual.Under Islamic Sharia law, the punishment for murder, homicide or infliction of
injury can either be in the form of qisas (equal punishment for the crime com-
mitted) or diyat (monetary compensation payable to the victims or their legal
heirs). These concepts are applied in different ways in different Islamic systems. In Pakistan, the right to waive qisas, or punishment, is given to family of the
victim. If and when the case reaches a court of law, the victim's family may
'pardon' the murderer (who may well be one of them), or be pressured to accept
diyat (financial compensation). The murderer then goes free. Courts have used
provisions like this to circumvent penalties for honor killings.Once such a pardon has been secured, the state has no further writ on the matter
although often the killers are relatives of the victim. Human rights agencies in
Pakistan have repeatedly emphasized that women falling prey to karo-kari were
usually those wanting to marry of their own will. In many cases, the victims held
properties that the male members of their families did not wish to lose if the
women chose to marry outside the family. More often than not, the karo-kari murder
relates to inheritance problems, feud-settling, or to get rid of the wife, for in-
stance in order to remarry.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honour_killing_in_PakistanCauses
There are multiple causes for which honor killings occur, and numerous factors
interact with each other.Views on women
Honor killings are often a result of strongly patriarchal views on women, and
the position of women in society. In these traditional male dominated societies
women are dependent first on their father and then on their husband, whom they are
expected to obey. Women are viewed as property and not as individuals with their
own agency. As such, they must submit to male authority figures in the family –
failure to do so can result in extreme violence as punishment. Violence is seen as
a way of ensuring compliance and preventing rebellion.Cultures of honor and shame
The concept of family honor is extremely important in many communities. The fam-
ily is viewed as the main source of honor and the community highly values the re-
lationship between honor and the family. Acts by family members which may be con-
sidered inappropriate are seen as bringing shame to the family in the eyes of the
community. Such acts often include female behaviors that are related to sex out-
side marriage or way of dressing, but may also include male homosexuality (like
the emo killings in Iraq). The family loses face in the community, and may be
shunned by relatives. The only way the shame can be erased is through a killing.Laws
Legal frameworks can encourage honor killings. Such laws include on one side
leniency towards such killings, and on the other side criminalization of various
behaviors, such as extramarital sex, 'indecent' dressing in public places, or
homosexual sexual acts, with these laws acting as a way of reassuring perpetrators
of honor killings that people engaging in these behaviors deserve punishment.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honor_killing#CausesReligion
Widney Brown, the advocacy director of Human Rights Watch, said that the prac-
tice "goes across cultures and across religions". Human rights advocates have com-
pared "honor killing" to "crimes of passion" in Latin America (which are sometimes
treated extremely leniently) and also to the killing of women for lack of dowry
in India. Honor crimes occur in societies where there is an interplay between dis-
criminatory traditions of justice and statutory law. In some countries, this dis-
crimination is exacerbated by the inclusion of Shari'a, Islamic law, or the con-
cept of zina (sex outside of marriage).Tahira Shaid Khan, a professor of women's issues at Aga Khan University, notes
that there is nothing in the Qur'an that permits or sanctions honor killings.
Khan instead blames it on attitudes (across different classes, ethnic and reli-
gious groups) that view women as property with no rights of their own as the mo-
tivation for honor killings. Khan also argues that this view results in violence
against women and their being turned "into a commodity which can be exchanged,
bought and sold".
