  My 66th birthday is today!!

  once i was little boy in fort worth, texas living with my maw maw and paw paw and mommy.. then, i was an 18 year old 6'4'' skinny 165lb religious nut being dipped in a baptismal during a local assembly.. suddenly, i was 20 and listening to a jail cell door clang behind me as a conscientious objector.. wow!

  23 years old and put on parole until my 6 years sentence was ended!

  i got married to a nice jw girl and had 3 kids!.

  Elders finally took me to the back room...

  after several months of leaving the meetings as soon as they ended or only staying for "the first meeting" then leaving the "second part", the elders finally cornered me at last night's meeting.. they said they were concerned about me and that being that i am a young brother in a recently divided congregation they saw so much potential in me to help out the congregation and become a ms.. i told them i was thankful for their thinking of me to help the congregation but that at the moment i could not due to my job.

  then the began asking personal questions that got on my nerves.. they asked where i worked and how much i made.

  they asked if i was going to college and what i was studying and for how long.

They asked if I was "emotionally involved" with another sister or a worldy person. They asked me if I was angry at any brother in the congregation or if I had done anything to upset Jehovah. One of them even said if I had sinned "behind closed doors".

  Oh yes, nothing upsets the creator of the universe more than a young guy having a job, going to college, being emotionally involved with a woman, and sinning behind closed doors. How much better it would be if you were a slacker with no job, not pursuing an education, too socially awkward for romance, and masturbating in public!

  If this conversation does't scream "INSANE CULT", I don't know what does. If you get cornered by these assholes again, answer their questions with, "Why do you want to know?"

  As for me, I'd love to meet any ex-jw, but at the top of my list:

Oh, and Palm Tree and AnneB, Onedayi'llbe free, SerenityNow, Punk, TotallyADD and his wife. There are a few others, but I can't remember their screen names, only their real names.

  there's a study article "make sure of the more important things", and in no uncertain terms the article makes clear that "jehovah's organization" is the most important thing.

  the term "organization" or "jehovah's organization" is used a whopping 24 times in the article, including a subheading titled: "follow the example of jehovah's organization".

  i thought organizations were entities, but that sort of subheading makes it seem like the organization is one giant person whose example we can follow.

  Now maybe I just have a dirty mind, one which I've thankfully already confessed to the elders (see p. 31, par. 17, Anne, the once and future pioneer who lived a double life--perhaps a fling with Andre after a long, sweaty day of return visits??), but that sounds a lot like spiritual masturbation to me. A vivid portrayal of Jehovah maneuvering matters to a grand climax? Talk about spiritual pornography! Divine judgment explodes all over mankind's face!

  Quentin (from JW-net) is dying

  quentin robburts has been on jw-net off and on for over 6 years and he is one of my oldest and most loyal friends.. his wife called me awhile ago and gave me the news.. quentin was rushed to the hospital's emergency room with acute renal failure and congestive heart failure.. .

  this does not surprise me for the following reason.

  his pain doctor put him on oxycontin last thursday.

  So glad that he has improved! Please encourag Quentin's wife to push the hopital for a MRI of his head to make certain he hasn't developed a blood clot after his fall. Look what happened to Hillary Clinton!

  Great video, but I think you guys missed an important point. And that is that the Watch Tower claimed that evil letter! What a bunch of dunces! They would've been better off denying it.

  he is going to the funeral.

  that is what prompted this thread.. three years ago, my parents died, a few weeks apart.. my brother, only son, oldest of us 3 kids, is da or dfed, long time ago.. no one even let him know, his mom and dad had died.. his son, or our 1st cousin, i don't remember which, called several months later, to let him know.. do you know of any other xdubs, this cruelty, has been afflicted upon?.
