what i have learned as the year as progressed and as christmas gets closer is quite the opposite.. as it turns out, my wife and i never learned how to give gifts and to shop for other people, neither have my kids.

She was raising hell with the driver while the bus was in motion. If I would've been the driver, I would've stopped the bus and pushed that nasty bitch out. She deserved what he gave her, and his only mistake was NOT pressing charges after he whipped her ass!

If this goes to court, either civilly or criminally, I can't imagine a jury of Clevelanders finding him guilty. Years ago I lived in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland and thankfully was in much better shape than I am now, and had to get physical a few times with nutjobs like the thing in the video. When someone invades your personal space and is screaming at you with insulting language, you have no idea what you'll do. I think the driver trash talking with that thing was just a way to get her to back down. Unfortunately for her, she didn't. As a matter of fact, she came back for more after he threw her off the bus.

I read in an article that she put her hands around his throat and either choked him or tried to choke him. Just because he works for RTA doesn't mean he has to put up with being verbally and physically attacked. I hope she goes to jail and has to pay out for a civil suit. People, and I use the term loosely, like her, shouldn't be out in the streets, but since she was roaming free in society, she got her just deserts.

they are liars decivers and most of all encourage hate in family circles whilst pretending they are the victims.

anyone who makes out they are a victim is a coward!

Please stop trying to out her as a liar. She's doing a fine job of that by herself, and in front of your son, no less! Focus your efforts on a court ordered custody and visitation arrangement. Keep good records, and if she violates them, the courts will sort out her deceptions. Once your child reaches a certain age, he can choose which parent he wants to live with. Just be there for him, and bide your time.

Lawsuits against the WTBTS....

i would love to see a thread that strictly listed lawsuits against the wtbts..enclosing actual referrals and newspaper clipping if possible for authenticity .surely they can't hush them all up... snoozy... .

Barbara Anderson's website watchtowerdocuments has court records to sex abuse lawsuits against the Watchtower dating back to 1964, I believe. And I'm pretty sure she has documented recent cases as well.

Talked to an elder

i am at home now, my family knows that i am out and it's somewhat ok.. during the time i spent here, i had the interesting pleasure of talking to an elder who i've known since childhood.

just for the background, he always regretted not going to university and there where also issues with military service.

but this discussion was kind of, well, interesting.

He said, if he had a case of child abuse in the congregation, which he thankfully hadn't at the moment (from which I concluded that there must have been something in the past, either before I was born, or something that was kept secret) the brother in question would never get any privileges.

A sex offender not having congregational privieges will NOT stop him from re-offending in or out of the congregation.

Then he said something that made me speechles: in any case, if there is a case of abuse/rape there is always some joint guilt at the victim or the parent (they just haven't protected thair children well enough).

Isn't that standard Watchtower thinking? Don't do anything that would warn the congregation or community at large about sex offenders in their midst, and then blame victims and their parents when abuse occurs.

i'm a single working mother of 2 with what i will call a very "colored" past.

Welcome to JWN! Just in case you're not aware, the vast majority of people have a colorful past. Please don't allow yours to guilt you into pledging your allegience to a high control group! Your open mindedness with your kids will NOT fly with the Watchtower. Take some time to research the organization, and analyze what it is about your colorful past that urged you to study with the jws in the first place.

Your reservations about being baptized are correct. It's very hypocritical for your study conductor's husband to object to you wearing the very same clothes that his wife and daughter wore. Maybe he's just a dirty minded fool who looks at you through a different lense than he sees them.
