  Baby??? honeymoon??? a certain time to have them??

  has anyone ever heard anything wrong with having a honeymoon baby??.

  just wanted to ask as i was told by an elder two weeks before i married "dont you dare have a honeymoon baby"......

  Yes, I used to call it the society too. I believe that changed about 10-15 years ago; I honestly can't remember why. Maybe some of our researchers can dig it up but I remember it was a clear direction change in how we referred to the organization.

  I do agree - I think that no one is perfect..after all, Judas was part of the original 12, right? Nevertheless, I'm not sure you answered my question:

  The Governing Body = Jehovah's organization.

  A simple Yes or No would be great. Then I know exactly what you are referring too from now on.

  oh - and to answer your question. From the dictionary, an apologist is:

  Noun

  1.

  apologist - a person who argues to defend or justify some policy or institution; "an apologist for capital punishment"

  So a JW apologist argues to defend or justify JWs and their policies.

  So you wouldn't go against the Governing Body? I want to be clear I understand. (and now, I don't have a plan of attack ;) ; I just want to be perfectly clear I understand what you are saying.

  The Governing Body = Jehovah's organization is what you are saying.

  Can you help me to understand specifically what YOU mean by "org", A/E?

  Who or what is the organization to you? Because, yes, I get really frustrated by JW apologists because there seems to be a disconnect here - but then I started to think that maybe it is because we are using the same terms, but with different personal meanings.

  (hugs you hard) - yes...I went and re-read your original posts and realized where you are on your journey. I'm glad you have a fiancee who loves you and is your support right now! Education is really the key. I don't think anyone can make an informed decision unless they are willing to open their minds and learn all sides - and you are clearly doing that.

  butterfly - I'm glad you have good memories of your grandfather - this picture must make you smile! A good and loving man would love you regardless of belief system - so don't worry that he would be disappointed in your life's choices. Plus - ten years ago? Who knows what changes HE might have made in that time! All three of you look like you adored him. :)

  please don't flame....but i had a lot of homework so i didn't go to meeting tonight with grandma, and now it's 10pm and she hasn't gotten back.

  she only went there, she had nowhere else to go...is it the end?

  Wow. Seriously? Assuming you were serious - can you (and any lurker reading) not see how horribly fearful this cult can make people? Hello? How about worrying that maybe Grandma is late because there was an accident, traffic was bad, she had to stop to put petrol in the car - any number of reasons! But to immediately jump to Armaggedon? For pete's sake!

  Honey, again assuming you are serious and not just trying to yank people's chains - PLEASE - you have two choices: 1. Quit school. Get rid of the pink hair since that's probably holding you back in the congregation. Immerse yourself in the cult and live in fear but with the uneasy hope that you will be saved. or 2. GET SOME HELP. If you are in school, there are counsellors who are free and available. You NEED therapy. Your fears and anxiety are NOT NORMAL.

  I say this with all due respect and much caring - I appreciate the time and obvious sincerity and enormous patience. You clearly love Jesus. With all of my heart I do NOT mean for this to be insulting, mean, or condescending or doubting of your intentions- I'm asking this with concern...have you ever been evaluated for any type of neurological disease? Because frankly, we are trained that if people are hearing voices (no matter how "normal" those voices are), we start looking for health concerns.
