no, she hasn't ever watched the show but she was told by another dub of a segment that took place on one show.

Clothing in the New Order

the society teaches that once the new order is up and running, we will achieve perfection as adam and eve once were.

if thats the case, why do they portray folks in the new order as fully clothed?

i thought clothing was the result of sin, so once sin is eliminated, should not clothing be also?

last night my husband told me that there's an old lady in his congregation who thinks i'm "cute" and offered to talk to me since she also had a ubm and is concerned about our marriage.. i wanted to gag.

should i talk to this nosy old bitty?

What was your favorite cartoon that you was allowed to watch growin up JW ?

hands down my all-time favorite was the flintstones.

it's just so hard for me to compare anything else to its humor,cleanliness,appeal to young as well as older ones at the time.. .

no matter how bad a mood i would be in after school i could always count on fred and barney to screw something up to make me feel better lol.

Witnesses are coming to stay with me during the Convention! Should I go?

first i said i would go on sunday.....but he said he would love me to go all 3 days.

Saw my dad last night...

a few weeks ago i had a conversation with my mother (still a jw).

she told me that one of my fave elders, who was disfellowshipped a few months before i disassociated three years ago, just got reinstated.

now, to know my mother is to know that she doesn't give you information unless she has an underlying motive.

I couldn't move on and be happy with myself until I admitted to myself that I didn't have to prove anything to my mother. Once I got that throught my head my life has become significantly better.

Don't try to prove yourself to anyone who can't accept you for who you are. Don't waste your time and energy trying to prove anything to her, take it from me it's a lost cause.

Have u found a new faith since leaving?

i was just wondering how many of you have found a "new faith" since leaving the jw"s. for instance, are u a member of another church, another religion, or are u now a committed atheist.

if u have found a new faith, what convinces you that its the right one?.
