  My Uncle Passed Away a few Hours Ago

  a couple of hours ago when i got home from shopping the telephone rang my son answered it he said, "mom, aunt mary just called and uncle richard just passed away", i was just devasted.

  it isn't sinking in.

  my mind isn't somewhere else.. i believe i mentioned about him in a post a few days ago that he was just diagnosed with pulmanary fibrosis, i am in total shock, as the doctor told him he had about one to three years to live.

  USPS.com says that my package was delivered to my SS recipient yesterday.. (breathing sigh of relief...made it there before chistmas)

  I've Got To Tell This!

  one of the police officers here is a transplanted new yorker who was raised as a jw by his g'ma.. he and i talk a lot about his jw experience, his g'ma, and his children (boy age 18, girl age 11).. his kids are both talented athletes (tennis) and the son won a tennis scholarship to university.

  he hopes the daughter will follow in her brother's footsteps.. mr. officer mentioned that one saturday, after a particularly strenuous workout, he gave his daughter a bottle of red gatorade to drink.

  he said she resisted drinking it at first, but he put his foot down and made her do it.. well, come sunday, he got an urgent message at work that he was to call home immediately.

  as the only single male pioneer in the KH, I got to hear all of those stories and more.. Why do y'all talk about that stuff in public anyway... lol

  In field service, unless I was driving, usually I would be in the back seat, and Sister Married Pioneer would be talking to her pio. partner about her GYN appointment, then realize, "oh, {snakes} is in the car...." I always just pretended not to hear...and honestly I didnt care too...but I can say I am not ignorant about all of the crap you women go through..

  I remember one single sister talking about her GYN appointment with a foreign doc... (Dr. Kim)...she used to imitate him...so the next time she had an appointment, she made the mistake of telling the car broup (incl myself) that she would meet us later. When we picked her up, I started doing my own "Dr. Kim" imitation..... "ahhh...miss {xxx}, hah deed ya exam go wit dr. keem?" Everyone else enjoyed the laugh...she was mad at first, but then figured thats what she got for telling those stories in field service around a single brother lol....(I was in my early 20s and a young MS)...

  My Christmas Present (A kitty)

  considering that my christmas present was alive and couldn't be wrapped, i got her last friday.

  the funniest thing is that she has taken up a spot under the christmas tree to sleep!

  it's like she knows she's a christmas present!

  what a beautiful cat. both cats now that I am looking at the link....the photos in the gallery link...are you a pro photographer? those are very good pics.

  I got my cat (then a 4 month old kitten) from the shelter a year ago.

  I cant imagine life without her now.

  on a bad day it works with 19:19 and 19:25 too.. .

  does this happen to you too, or am i just a freak of nature?.

  Its the alarm code for lots of assembly halls, kingdom halls and dub homes.... I keyed in 1975 as a temp code when they first installed the one in the CO apartment.. they did not find the humor in it.. and changed it to 4191... how original

  i love christmas, i don't know if i am going to have a christmas tree this year.

  most of my family live in kentucky.. i love decorating the christmas tree.

  i have a ten month old cat that gets into everything, eats everything.

  Fire set to Old Mill from Gone With the Wind

  the old mill, one of my favorite places to go and take pics was set fire to last night.

  since most of it is stone, there is not any real lasting damage, although the roof is gone.. i doubt they will find who did this, what a senseless thing to do.

  i have been going to the old mill since i was about 15, living a few blocks from it years ago.

  I did lose 50 pounds this past year, so that was a start.

  I am aiming for eating healthier this year..trying to clear out the processed foods out of the house as much as possible.

  I checked delivery confirmation (thats kinda fun...lol..I need a life) on the package I sent my ss recipient...

  based on where it was last scanned on Saturday... they should be getting their package on Monday..Tuesday at the latest. It might actually make it by xmas eve!... woo hoo

  I hope in one piece... it is coming via post office.......
