Name change at the new board??

i never signed up for the new board.

my info was on there already.

i was wondering if we could change our names if we wanted to at the new board??

although I am certainly the first to applaud that change (anyone remember "sankes" inthe tower ..thank goodness that was changed for me), it could be confusing...any way that the profile (not on the screen with the posts, but in the member listings) could list aka's... former screennames...because otherwise it could get confusing real fast..people could start constantly changing names to avoid detection, esp once registration is opened back up

No, it doesnt... as I said, maybe the noni juice is a good product (or the phone service is a good service). The problem is that is not their main goal. Recruitment is their main purpose. The goods and services only make the recruitment legal. Otherwise it would strictly be a scam.

These MLM (multi level marketing) companies prey on the greed and/or desperation of people looking to make money for whatever reason. And the parallels to the recruitment methods are close as to be uncanny. If only JWs only had a $495 entrance fee....when you left, if thats all you lost we could handle it...lesson learned... instead..you lose your family, "friends", time, maybe more money donated....

legal and moral are two different things.

Yep..here is another one of these dubs that are peddling crap in their MLM schemes:

Al Cobble was a CO back in the 80s and/or 90s that was peddling ACN telephone MLM.. he was doing it while a CO... he was making literally hundreds of dollars a week from his downline (so much for vow of poverty) I know it to be true because I often brought his mail to him at this apartment and the amounts of the checks were easily visible through the window envelope....

he had a nice KH apartment (actually 2 in the circuit) but insisted on using his travel trailer too...parked at the KH...running the AC or heat..causing high utility bills...(turns out he was using it for his ACN office...couldnt risk having it in the KH apartment)..... until the local congo told him to use one or the other... (apartment won)

eventually, the Borg had enough on them after several years of investigation..... and a couple of DOs and a CO(DO trainee) got together and booted him from circuit work. He was actively recruiting during his visits....especially elders.... charge a person $495 to join the ACN organization to have the right to ~~sell ACN services~~....actually to recruit more suckers... he got the local (then PO, now SO pioneer to join...who is still full gun on this)

now I see the Cobbles are peddling Noni Juice... the juice may be legit...but expensive (gotta pay for those upline/downlines at the KH)..its the way they recruit among the dubs that is the problem...

anyone recognize them? (pic is from their website...so its in the public domain) conveniently...her email is there too...tell them what you think...lol

If I can find online (public) info on an elder(s) that are selling ACN here locally... I will bust them out too..... (TG..I am coming after you..you porn surfing elder you)

Meetings: Are They Morons?

so, the new arrangement for meetings includes a jam-packed ministry school/service meeting and book study that ends at 8:45pm in many halls - unless they go overtime!.

these geniuses tried to create a family night because they realize witness families are falling apart so they created an awfully long meeting instead that will often take place on a thursday night - just prior to friday when countless kids have tests in school scheduled!.

good for them!

meta, meta, meta...dont you know anything?...you dont need anything but a good ol' U of A (University of Awake!) education. All of that homework and those tests are just mundane worldly pursuits. Get as much of this filling "spiritual food" as you can. Its worth every sacrifice. You probably wont go to high school anyway. Paradise will arrive any minute now....meanwhile, become a U of A alumni and a WindowWashingPionner and donate all of your proceeds to the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund...and don't you worry your pretty little head about 401(k)s and social security......Armageddon will be here long before you retire and money is of no use (but keep sending in your worthless tax-deductible donations to us)

(says one who never expected to graduate high school 25 years ago and just now finishing a second college degree and has no retirement savings whatsoever)

i have 3 copies of the following book that i want to get rid of.

(hope this is ok simon--i'm truly not selling them--they cost me about $12 each.

it should be less than $3 to ship them in the continental us via media mail, so i'd ask those interested to cover that.

I cant speak for Simon... I got rid of a ton of WT lit last year this way on JWD... offered them for the cost of shipping... even shipped them without the check for the postage.... trusted folks.,.. no one burned me... so I doubt they have an issue with you offering books that might help someone..esp at a loss. Some generous souls covered more than the postage which helped offset the cost of some who couldnt.... it all worked out in the end..

you're/your.... the first use of "your" should be "you're" as in... "I noticed you are trying..."... The second use of your was correct. Just saying....lol
