I'm not trolling. I studied the hydro plate theory for years. It stands on its own.

Many who work in the applied sciences, like engineers, are drawn to this theory due to its practicality. Piss and moan all you want, he's got it right. Take a few weeks to thoroughly go over his theory, and try to pick it apart with proven science. If you find something that completely debunks his theory, you can contact him yourself to tell him. He answers the phone. Hell, I went to his house to discuss it with him.

By the way, a good theory allows one to make predictions. Predictions concerning the "tiny dust balls, no bigger than a marble" that were going to be found on that comet they just landed on proved way off. Only one one scientist predicted actual rounded boulders as likely: Walt Brown. 13 years ago.

Laugh all you want, his crazy theory is being confirmed constantly. He's made around 40 predictions. 5 are confirmed, the rest pending. And yet, he's just a dumb young earth creationist. Well, if it makes you feel any better he was an evolutionists until 1972. But then he smartened up.

If you want evidence of the flood just walk outside and look around. It's everywhere.

the water came from underneath the continental crust. The extreme violence of this event changed the planet. Think there's no sedimentary evidence? Look into the Grand Canyon. There's a mile of sediment from the flood.

The mid oceanic ridge formed then, the mountain ranges, ocean trenches, fossils, coal and oil deposits, etc.

Man can't seem to see the forest for the trees.

Here's one more for you to get upset about; the comets and asteroids in our solar system also originated in that event. It's why they'll find the building blocks of life on them. They came from here. It's also why the comet they landed on is full of rounded boulders (high velocity water).

'Anointeds' Do you know any and if so what are they like ?

Before we get too carried away with the whole "all you need is faith in Jesus" to be anointed, take a look at what HE said, and his 12 apostles. Not Paul. Anything he said merely served to undermine Jesus message. "Observe my commandments continually". His brother James said faith without works is dead. So all JWs are taught that the "works" are doing the bidding of the WTS. Wrong. The works is the act of observing his commandments. What were they? The Ten Commandments! Also he said to feed the poor, look after each other, the widows and fatherless boys.

In Matthew 5 he says "anyone breaking the least of these commandments and teaching others to that effect, will be considered least in the kingdom of heaven". When was the last time a jw observed the Sabbath? Never. Because they're taught it's unimportant. It's the "least" of the commandments.

If you really want to do the right thing in his eyes, and maybe receive the promise, start right there.

Unless you're an atheist, then this is all just stupid. Just bear this in mind; any country that tried to govern itself in opposition to those commandments fared badly. Think Hitler and Stalin. Those who kept them as a backbone tended to do well. That's no coincidence.

Yeah, introvert2 and I know the same "anointed". He really can put on a show of being pious. Drives me up the wall. Arrogant. While on service once years ago, he picked up a hitchhiker, thinking to preach to him. Guy had his little kid with him. When he challenged anointed on some things, anointed started yelling about it being his car, and what he says goes. Scary. I was mortified. I could see the guy get scared and he asked to be dropped off. Anointed kept justifying it all after, asking for approval. I told him he screwed up.

Never got along too well after. I kept him at arms length

My "Leaving" Letter

through what i have learned from reading bro.

russell's writings about the ransom for all, coupled with the blood issue, i feel the need to let my friends know that i am making a stand for truth.

i could have lost my wife to the blood issue during pregnancy.

I've shot my mouth off to an elder both literally and in print. Since we've known each other my entire life, and I was considered furniture at the Hall, he hasn't shared anything. He has since stepped down I hear.

One thing though, I was asked to an elders meeting as soon as I questioned the 607 teaching. I knew it was a lure to get me in front of "two witnesses " so I said that I didn't have time yet, but that I would get back to them. Then never did. Haven't heard anything in about a year now.

Just remembered a conversation I had with my father.

when i started my fade i called my father to talk to him about some stuff that was bothering me.

i got absolutely nowhere.

he read matthew 24:45-47. i finally asked him that if the governing body asked him to jump off of a bridge would he do it.

I hear you. I asked my mother if the Society could ever say something that would make her question them. Her silence spoke volumes.

Whenever I raised a question about them or a teaching, she would never address it. She would instead question my motives and accuse me of wanting be like the world, and that I was leaving Jehovah. Automatically attribute ill will to my questions.

I had asked her thoughts on the sabbath, as Jesus had observed it, and in Matthew 5 had said that anyone teaching others to ignore the least of the commandments would be considered least in the kingdom. She told me I was being stupid. Several months later she died. On the sabbath.

Some of my family think my leaving killed her. She was rather fanatical so it wouldn't surprise me if it did.

i have been out of the org for several years.

i faded.

my husband became inactive but still believes that the jws have the truth.

Deuteronomy 18:20-22 says it all. No matter how much it's denied, it describes the WTS to a tee.

My roots run deep in there, grandparents, parents, siblings, wife, kids. But when I saw what they actually said, and how none of it happened, that was it for me. My family think I've gone nuts.

The more they talk, or write, the deeper the hole gets. It seems the scripture that says "to the writing of many books there is no end, and much attention to them is wearisome to the soul", is lost on them.

When I challenged an elder on the "day/age" view by bringing up the massive problems with radio metric dating, he got upset and said that he's googled the issue and 6000000 pages came up; "am I supposed to read all of them? You know (quote scripture above).

No, I said, I only had to read two or three myself. Want me to show you? "No, I have no time for that, I can hardly keep up with everything from the organization".

Almost in the same breath. He really did look haggard, too, poor guy.

Yesterday's Watchtower, Bible Comments

the whole meeting for me was nauseating yesterday... the talk was on "science".. nuff said... then the watchtower, they are just spinning in circles patting themselves on the back lately it seems, but this is one thing that really stuck out to me.. i heard the comment multiple times about how the 2013 version of nwt made things "easier to understand" "simpler" and so on.

this has been one of my main beefs with yhwh and his book.

this is supposedly the tool for mankind to all live or die based on whether or not they:.

I couldn't help but notice that where the old translation had words in brackets inserted, to help "better understand", the new version has left out the brackets, making it look like the inserts were original. It's a version that seems all about supporting their own ideas, instead of letting scripture speak for itself.
