WHAT if we're wrong?
by shell69 ini mean, i know i'm bitter.. normally these days quite strong, not feeling so much so much the last few days though.. what i'd give to do the things i was used to.
going doing the weekly shop with my mum, her popping round for a brew in the morning.. a hug from her, just to to know from the way she communicated with me, that she loved me.
i miss her so much.. and what if i'm wrong?.

Thank you all.
4 all of you. I just don't feel strong at the moment.
I feel a dreadful black darkness. I feel my husband and children would be better off without me, my mood swings, and depressions.
It's not that easy to snap out of.

Why Jesus didnt address the Father as Jehovah?
by Tino insince the jehovah witnesses claim that god must always be referred to jehovah and the fact that others don't do this proves jehovah's witnesses are the only true church, why is god not always identified as jehovah in the bible?
why did jesus not address the father as jehovah?.

And what if I'm wrong?
that I may feel I've set my children free from the religion, but I've condemmmed them to death. god I feel so low, lower than for along time.

How about a show of solidarity...
by Mickey mouse in...at this year's convention for those who are still in?
can we come up with a way of doing something which doesn't identify us individually whilst at the same time shows there are others "of us" there?.
any ideas?.

"Bad" songs at JW weddings
by B_Deserter inwhen i was in my teens, jw weddings were quite the social affair.
of course, the music was strictly regulated by the elders.
somehow though, in each wedding, someone managed to get the song "you shook me all night long" by ac/dc into the dj's rotation, and all of the "bad" witnesses would have a blast dancing to it.

I remember they would always manage to get 'i just called to say i love you' played at every one.
Just about the time they started those rediculous barn dances, with the luvved up pioneer couples dancing around.
Eugh!
I agree, a bit of ACDC is more enjoyable!

The end of the end- your thoughts?
by JimmyPage inso what does everyone think of the wt info from the past year comparing the time of the end to israel's escape from egypt?
it said (paraphrasing):"the wt may even give specific instructions that seem to lead us into the face of danger just as the israelites were led to the red sea with their enemies pursuing them from the other side.
" also what do you think of the past two year texts- "obey god as ruler rather than men" and "stand firm and see the salvation of jehovah"?

What a peacefull bunch we are
by shell69 ini read a lot more than i ever post on the www.. however i do read my local news website daily.
its www.theboltonnews.co.uk.. i flicked through a couple of times today, and there was an article regading a 'no smoking' bus that was touring the town.
a journalist had visited the bus and written a very positive report about what she experienced there, and how it had encouraged her to give up smoking.

I flicked through a couple of times today, and there was an article regading a 'no smoking' bus that was touring the town. A journalist had visited the bus and written a very positive report about what she experienced there, and how it had encouraged her to give up smoking. As a smoker myself (yes I know... its bad), I appreciate comments from a smoker and the effect this visit had upon her thinking.
Anyhows... I digress. Before too long comments started to appear about this article, with gradual insults thrown in, the reporter pictured was overweight/ insults about obesisty etc etc etc,
Before you knew it, local comments were refering to blowing up all the local mosques, and on and on it went!
Well, when I got home the thread had been removed fromt he website, evidently it had got out of hand!
But is got me thinking, we have a massive diversity of people who post on this site, and very few of us have the comfort of communitcating via this board with people we live with locally and know local communtiy issues.
Disagreements in oppinions do sometimes arise. This is true, I know there have been occasions where I have disagreed with views expressed, and will make a response.
However, I personally have never seen the level of abuse and insults being thrown about on this board as I have on the site named above.
I think YOU ARE ALL great!
