God is Jesus

i am looking for more scriptures that can prove to a jehovah witness that god is jesus, and jesus is god.i found only one verse so far in 1jo:5:20: and we know that the son of god is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his son jesus christ.

this is the true god, and eternal life.. if you know more scriptures that say directly that god is jesus please tell me the verses the jhw will see plainly that jesus is no way an angel, and he is jehovah god almighty.. my friend said if i can prove by the bible only that jesus is god he will leave the jhw society, and he will know that they are teaching lies and they would be to him a dogma religious sect.

my friend gave me a booklet called should you believe in the trinity?, and is jesus christ the almighty god.

I am glad you see the way I seen the scripture.
I ask my pastor who is also a bible teacher, and know hebrew, and Greek, about Gen 18:1.

I was amazed what he taught me.

He said: that all three was God like you mention, and all three men are Jehovah , wow.

I am sorry also to try to explain the other two was angels, meaning angels that are sevant for the God.

I learned something new, and I am humble to repent when I get understanding and I say something false.

I am a human, and but I don`t give up getting understanding, and telling the truth.
I ask God to give me wisdom according to James, and he does, that why I found the truth, even if it`s from you , and my pastor.

Thank you very much, for having patience , trying to show me the truth, I thank God for using you to bring understanding to my growth in the Lord Jesus, and rightly dividing the Word of God.

by the way my pastor said: that the three men is really the trinity of God, the Father,was one of the men, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is all three.
God revealed Him self to Abraham , and Abraham knew that God was three in one. I never knew that in the old testament this revelation of God was revealed to people in the old testament, WOW.

My pastor said: in some scriptures , when said the Angel of the Lord, this is really Jesus Christ, and only people can bow down to this angle which is Jesus, but if a person bows down and worship a normal angel the angel will always say don`t bow down to me or worship me like Re:19:10: And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

But look at this scripture where Jesus did not say dont worship me, he accepted the worship M't:20:20: Then came to him the mother of Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.
M't:20:21: And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

there are many more Scripture where Jesus is worshiped, like God is worship, because God is Jesus, and Jesus is God.

Must people have a problem with manafestations of God, and they try to understand a mystery which a normal fleshly man can`t understand.
1Tm:3:16: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

These two chapters of Genesis are particularly interesting because here you have the first of 134 tiqqune sopherim, or scribal corrections, where the Jewish copyists removed the tetragrammaton and substituted the Hebrew term for 'Lord'. This was primarily designed to preserve the dignity of God's name as they found it offensive having angels being referred to as 'Jehovah'.

We know this because notes (in smaller writing) were made of these corrections between the upper and lower margins and in the side margins between the columns of the text. This smaller writing is called the Massorah.

One question I must ask you, can I use this Chapter as proof for the trinity of God????

These have been collected by Dr. C.D. Ginsberg in his Introduction to the Massoretico-Critical Edition of the Hebrew Bible, (Ktav Publishing House Inc. New York). He also published several volumes containing the Massorah where it lists (Vol.I,p.25) the corrections in these two chapters as Gen. 18:3,27,30,31,32; 19:18.

In the passages you quote (Genesis 18:1,13,17,20,22) all references to 'LORD' are substitutions of the tetragrammaton and would be better translated as God's name, Jehovah. I simply don't know how you can say Notice there is no mention of Johovahs, or GODS.

It does say "two angels". But after these two angels had taken them out of the city and told them to escape to the mountains, Lot said to them: "Not that, please, Jehovah!" This is one of the scribal changes referred to above and is well-documented as I have shown.

It seems quite clear that these three, whether they were men or angels, were representing Jehovah. I can think of no other reasonable exegesis of the passage and it certainly has nothing to do with your "God is Jesus" theology. If one of these three is 'Jesus' it simply corroborates what other scriptures teach of him being his father's spokesman.

The only different is that Jesus had his name Jesus in the new testament.

There is only one savior, not three, and that is no matter how you call other men Jehovah, there is still only one God that can do anything, all thing are possible with God.

Please look at these scriptures and see if the two men were only angels, and the third man,or one of the men was Jehovah (YHWH).

Ge:18:1: And the LORD Jehovah (YHWH)appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

Ge:18:13: And the LORD Ge:18:13: And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

Ge:18:17: And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

Ge:18:20: And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

Ge:18:22: And the( men )turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

Notice there is no mention of Johovahs, or GODS.

Ge:18:26: And the LORD Jehovah (YHWH) said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

Ge:18:33: And the LORD Ge:19:1: And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.

Ge:19:1: And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

Ge:19:1: And there came (two angels to Sodom)
Notice in this scripture it says they were two angels, not two Lords, or two JehovahS (YHWHS).

Notice and study that only one of the men did the talking which was Jehovah (YHWH).

Let's review what happened:
1.Three men ("Jehovah") approach Abraham.(18:1,2)
2.He addresses all three as Jehovah and they respond (18:3,5).
3.The men look toward Sodom.(18:16)
4.One of them ("Jehovah") determines to go to Sodom.(18:20,21)
5.Two of them go to Sodom but the one ("Jehovah") stays with Abraham.(18:22)
6.Two angels arrive at Sodom.(19:1)
7.The men visit Lot's house and speak to him.(19:10,12)
8.The angels express urgency.(19:15)
9.The men seize him and his family and take them outside the city.(19:16,17)
10.Lot addresses them as Jehovah.(19:18)

What does this all mean? There are three men? There are three angels? There are three Jehovahs? Why does Abraham address one of them as Jehovah? Why does he address them, collectively, as Jehovah? Why does Lot address two of them, collectively, as Jehovah? Why does one of them ("Jehovah") say that he will go down to Sodom and the other two go instead? If this is the trinity then are both Jehovah and Jesus men/angels?

Could it be that they are three angels who appear to Abraham/Lot as men and are authorised to speak for Jehovah? If, indeed, one of them was the pre-incarnated Jesus this would harmonise with texts such as 1 Thess.4:16.

Paul was killing the christians because he thought he was doing it for Jehovah God.

When he was on his way , who did Paul see, when his eyes were open, or before they got closed????????

No man has seen God, but how could he go from serving God, to serving Jesus as his God??????

we can praise God in this way the bible says Psalms:150:1: Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
Psalms:150:2: Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Psalms:150:3: Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
Psalms:150:4: Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
Psalms:150:5: Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
Psalms:150:6: Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

We can worship God with our hearts toward God ,in music and dance.

Ph'p:4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Ph'p:4:8: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Let your thinking and heart give God the glory in what ever you do, and the Lord will be pleased.

I would first like to say thank you for everyone that gives their comments, and opinions, because it is a great help for the youth here in Germany.
I am pleased to answer your question about my disco, which I do not have in a discothek, but the revival disco is in out church building.
The people that come know that there is no bar, and that we don`t allow sexual ativities, because we let kids in that are at the age of 6 years old and older.
At least the parent know their kids are in good hands, and the disco is like no other wordly disco, praise God.
