  WHy is King David Always held up as a great guy?

  I am also amazed how people say that David is just a story. There is more historical evidence that he existed than most people are aware.

  David was by no means a perfect man indeed, he did some horrible things in his life. However this is not to say that he was all bad. None of us know what we would have done in his situation we could have done things just as bad if not worse. The point being is this,

  If people were to know all of your faults, how many would still love you? How many would still love me?

  How many here have actually read the bible............all of it?????

  i was in the org for 20 years and never actually read the bible from beginning to end.

  then i bought a living bible and found even the most difficult parts easy to read.

  but i still couldnt find time.

  Kid-A We all know you hate the Bible, God, and Theology. Some of us however like the Bible, God, and Theology. Respect it and go on with life.

  The Bible is the main reason that I do not go to meetings any longer. After I read it, I came to the conclusion that there were too many things that I found were not found in the Bible so I decieded it was time to move on. But to answer your question, yes I have read the entire Bible and no I do not find it dull in the least. It just does not appeal to people in which spirit is beyond their understanding.

  People who think they are so special that they do not need to respond to an attemp at conversation.

  For example I sent an email to several on this board and never got a reply. That is annoying.

  Well, I still have some trouble believing it but if what you say is true it would explain some things.

  I have not heard from any of my friends in the last month and they know that I am inactive. If what you are saying is true that would explain why.

  This is one of the reasons that I hate pride so much...

  I really have gotten tired of the "that person is not worth my time because giving me flowers is pathetic" crap.

  As hard as it is to believe, some of us LIKE good old fashion romance (and this is comimg from a man.)

  To all that have this attitude that someone is not worth you time...

  What makes you think that you are that special to begin with? You don't think that there arn't a thousand other people that think they are just as special if not more? So here are some tips for you.

  1. There ARE people better looking than you are.

  2. There ARE people that are smarter.

  3. You ARE NOT the best dressed person out there.

  4. An expensive car does NOT make you better than others around you (a moron with $50,000.00 can get the same car as shocking as it is, its called open ended business)

  5. On a cosmic level, you are just borrowing everything that you have. So are your childrenand your grandchildren. He that dies with the most toys is nontheless still dead.

  The point is that if you have the above thinking, get over yourself, everyone else has.

  that every guy just wants you for sex??.

  thats there no decent guys out there coz they 'only exist in the truth'.

  only ask coz thought i'd found the one, and (partly coz of my irractic behavior) we have finished) tho i dont think he was the one anyway i drove everywhere paid for most things, he lives at home etc..... so why do i feel so upset?

  Sorry my computer is acting up.

  I am waiting for the right one. ALthough I no longer consider the witnesses to be the truth, I still believe the Bible to be what it claims so I still wish to be loyal to God. So I will be willing to wait until I find the right one,

  Okay let me be a bit more specific...

  I still believe the Bible to be what it is so there is no way that I will give that up. (I have done too much research on the subject and I was agnostic at one point and don't plan on going back)

  I am talking more about relationships.

  The truth is I would like to marry but was unable for years due to the fact that the kingdom hall thought I was bad association (it had to do with the fact that my mother was DS and as a result so was I although I did nothing wrong). The problem is that I still believe about what the Bible teaches about not having relations before marriage so what I am trying to find is a way to meet ex witnesses who feel the same way I do.

  Sorry my computer is acting funny here is the story.

  As some of you already know, I have decided to leave the organization. The problem is that I will lose all of my friends in the process with the exception of one that said he would stand by me no matter what. I need to find new friends but I don't think that I could go out 'into the world' as I still believe the Bible is what it claims and I am uncomfortable with going to another church.

  Is there any way that I could get some advice?
