  about a month ago, i wrote a post about a sister that keeps coming to my apartment giving me watchtowers.

  i called her an older sister.

  she is in her late 50's.

  Should Jehovah's Witnesses be added to the Wikipedia article on Doomsday Cults?

  there is discussion of doomsday cults at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/doomsday_cult, and much of it aligns closely with watchtower predictions and behaviour, so i was wondering why jehovah's witnesses are not mentioned.

  here are some quotes from the article:.

  doomsday cult is an expression used to describe groups who believe in apocalypticism and millenarianism, and can refer both to groups that prophesy catastrophe and destruction, and to those that attempt to bring it about.

  So, are you guys saying someone associated with the WTS monitors wikipedia for content that is less than flattering and removes it? Is there anything that can be done to combat this?

  i feel i must preface this with context so as to make the intention understandable: .

  to jehovah's witnesses and their apologists, that goal is destruction of truth and the downfall of jehovah's witnesses.

  The WTS leadership is extremely cautious about its public image and hides its extremist views and regime-like grip on its members from the general public.

  If everyone who has been adversely affected by this high control group made it a point to expose the truth to others – in whatever way they are comfortable and able to – the public would be better informed about the dangers of the WTS.

  talking with my anionted mum she tells me how worried she is that our lovely cute grandaughter/neice sarah, 9 months, will have her head cut off by jehovahs angel at armagedon.

  {my sister is disfellowshiped and i'm inactive former pioneer/servant 10 years} this sickens me.

  i told her how jah loves "even the embroy" of an unborn child.

  Yup, I got family like that. The WTS Jehovah is like an abusive husband. He loves you, but he'll kill you if you cross him.

  I'm with jgnat on this. It has a life of it's own now. That's not to say there are not individuals that know it's BS and try to manipulate things for their own interests, because I think such individulas do exist. But they are not running the show. No one is 100% in charge now. The organization is a runaway train. And just like your local kingdom hall, a few know it's BS but remain for the glory, another few know it's BS but remain because it's the only thing they know, and most are asleep and captives of the concept.

  Advertising the REAL Jehovah's Witnesses when I can...

  today, my wife went to labcorp to take a pre-employment drug screening.

  she doesnt have a driver's license, so i took her.. in the waiting room, with the magazines were a copy of atalaya (watchtower) and despertad (awake).

  it'd be nice to think they were left by a jw who decided then and there that she'd had enough of the lies, but from what i gathered on jwn, it was probably a lazy publisher counting it as perpetual service hours.. anyway, on the back of both, i left the message "for more information about jehovah's witnesses please google candace conti.".

  not so much as a teacup levitating from its saucer.

  A year or so ago I bought three smurf dolls and a pack of tarot cards and brought them into my house. No paranormal activity. Maybe you'll have better luck.
